Title: A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) Foamie Plans
Post by: rcfoamcrafters on December 06, 2010, 09:13:42 PM
Hi everybody:

I have gotten a lot of requests to post A-10 Warthog plans on my website. They are pretty hard to come by along with permission to distribute.

Well, mission accomplished. Plans are now available for those interested.

Thanks,

I'm glad your finding my site informative. I just started it with the things I used the most when I got started in the hobby and now it's my turn to pass it on to others.

A few weeks ago I was at a local airshow that had the A-10 Warthog and before he was even off the runway, I needed plans. I too, was going to build without plans, but wanted some kind of a guide. The plans I have, come out at around a 34 inch wingspan.  Rather than glue the plan onto my foam, I just drew the shape onto my foam and made a 42 inch, so I'm just going to resize everything as I go. Hopefully I can reduce a lot of the flex by wrapping the wing from wing tip to wing tip with packing tape, since I'm using wood dowels instead of CF.

Anyway, before I get into a longer speech, I hope to see a few builds from these plans.

Have fun,

Wayne
