After my first flying session with Mr. Moorthy and V2 eagle, build it without any plan with a foam sheet. still wondering what glue to use in this material.
Any suggestion ?? :headscratch:
few build pic attached, with the cutting tool set up. ;D
the material used and the cutting tool setup.
Epoxy. commonly known as araldite.
Takes time to stick but dont attack this foam.

:bow: @v2 eagle
Super !!!
Use hot glue or 5 min epoxy....
well, either the vertical stab is slightly big or the wing is small in length.
@jonnywalker what foam are you using is it EPE ?
@docnayeem
Even i don't know what exactly it called.. :giggle:
use rubber based glue... you will get solid joints...
First clean surface with Petrol ( which has no oil mixed)
I agree with sandeepm sir.
Also, though the model is built neatly, still, does this material has sufficient strength to survive in air. Since, what i could make out from the pics, this is the one used in packing of TV, refrigerators...
I also don't no the name of this form, may be EPS ( correct if i am wrong ).
But i have tried this, This has to be strengthen with Spar, and covered with Polythene or any smooth surface. The Bare surface will restrict airflow, and stop your plane moving forward.
:thumbsup: give it a try.
@ manojswizera ..
even i think so.. need to cover the surface for smooth air flow..
Expanded polyethylene or EPE foam, I think.
@sandeepm
yes.. the wing span is 8" smaller than the actual.. i checked it in a pdf given by Mr v2 eagle.. now i made a new wing with correct ratio.. i will post pics once i fit all the electronics.
True Scratch builder. {:)} {:)} {:)}
So we have two planes this Sunday.

If it is EPE then its has excellent fracture resistance its resilient but very bad thermal and scratch resistance u need to coat it with something
