About radio rx for glow model

Hi guys,
           just want clarification on radio, i have bought new glow model Faster 20 high wing trainer with 52" of wing span
im planning to use Hitec laser 4 with 05s micro rx which has 100dBm gain and AGC and Transmitter power is 500mW
whether can i use this setup for glow model or go for DC Rx ? some sites says this 05s Rx has a range more than a mile!!
pls suggest remedy?
To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!
