Boy Oh Boy! This is one build to watch out for. All the very best!!!
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

but due to lack of availability of 55mm edf's locally..

We have 63,64 and 74 mm not 55 as it is not a very popular size required here

flying_g

fuselage complete..waiting for the edf's to come in....

merog

Will it have Flaps and Air Breaks? Better go for Retractable landing gear and some cutting edge painting too makes it reeeeely reeeely COOOOL.
Really awesome, cant wait to see it flying?

flying_g

Nice work dude  {:)} {:)}
See, i have noticed that while you were using the elevator and rudder the fixed part of vertical and horizontal stabilizer is also moving slightly along with movement of rudder and elevator.
i may be wrong or it may be the camera glitch also. please see into this as this may make your plane unstable while in air as the flight characteristic is gone change during servo movement.
you can reduce the fixed part movement by simply reducing the throw of servo arms by 30-50% or your hinges may be too hard to take the load of servo.

experienced builders may kindly suggest......

Sandeep
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!

allthatido

i think you should probably reinforce them too.

anwar

Yep... for their length, they sure can use some reinforcement.

Great going

flying_g

forgot to mention guys but reinforcement of the control surfaces is pending..was too excited to shoot the video and post it so did it without the reinforcemnts ;D..im still waiting for sum landing gear suggestions from everyone..i plan to make skids and make this airplane as close to the real as possible ..any suggestions on how to make skids for airbus?? ???

praveen

To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

sandeepm

hi,
i can see that even reinforcement will not gone help in reducing the fixed part movement. this is something else which is making this movement and that is the angle of rudder and elevator fixed part and the angle of pull by the servo is acting opposite to each other. i hope bot the control rods are overlaping and crossing each other and reaching the control horn instead of running parallel. please confirm...
Check the illustration below.
Any Comments ???????

sahilkit

Today might be a great and wonderful day. It depends on you.

flying_g

thanx for the input and the diagram sandeep..im using single servo for the elevator flaps..i made a Y shaped pushrod arrangement for both the flaps connected to one servo...will try to run a single spar through both the elevator fixed sections today and then see how it works..
