Hi everyone,
Here is another SPAD build log
SPAN : 48"
CHORD: 9"
MATERIAL : 3MM CORRO
The earlier V Tail I built was not a good flier (crashed a lot) but had me read a lot about v-tails, so attempting another build, this time fully out of corro.
power plant would be a DYS D3536 1000kv coupled with a 10*7
I want to build something like this
Progress so far
:thumbsup:
Thankyou Sanjay sir. fuselage and tail and assembly. ditched the tail boom and vtail. It looks like a spadstick except for the rudder.
@manu
Looks much better without the boom!
😀. Thankyou Iyer Sir.
updates , servo installation pending. Cut the formers on a CNC laser out of aeroply. Glued them to the fuse.
Crashed the one in the pics above on last Saturday, built a lookalike this week.
The fuse is 30inches long and the wing has the same dimensions. It looks better now I think.
video , Maidened by my buddy Nitin Xavier.

@manu,
Congratulations. Flies well.
You need more airspeed to roll safely!
Regards
Iyer
Thankyou Sir, It was a 9*7 on 4s, it was flying at around 30% throttle, plus the pilot lost orientation as it was a bit dark but somehow he managed to save it during the roll
:goodjob:
Thankyou Sir.
It has an autopilot in it.Flew it today on stabilize mode , flies pretty stable.

@manu
Very smooth.
But some overcontrol in turns?
Sir, there is automatic rudder assistance to avoid adverse yaw when a roll input is given (the autopilot does it) even if we haven't given any yaw input from the transmitter , may be it's because of that.
Very well build Manuji. SPAD are always great to fly and watch.
Thankyou Sir.
Ended up building a little one with the corro that was left after building the plane mentioned in this log. Well , this one is a minime .
