Somehow in a discussion between Sundaram Sir & Girish Sarwal, it came to pass that I have to build a model for the sweepstakes, starting today, and finish by dusk tomorrow  :o :o :o

So, I do need an Avispad - it's my bread and butter model  ;D. My last one was slaughtered by a merciless lady learner driver while I was landing  :violent: :violent:

Thats painful to hear sir about your previous avispad...

See Sandy sir, I told ya...

While sir flies electric mostly now, he himself is 90-10 glow fuel, all you need is a hot glow plug...

Sanjay sir, I am sure with all that heat, the butter is melting fast, greasing your rich "bread and butter" breakfast...;)

All the best...

Utkarsh, the best cure for the pain is build another  ;D ;D That's the beauty of spads :D

Girish-bhai....I hope with this frenetic building some of the butter around my waist will melt

Fuse cut out, firewall ready. I use blind nuts, as nothing pokes out from the inside - in a crash the protruding part of the screw can puncture the Lipo.

sanjayrai55

Doublers put in fuse, L/G pad fitted

sanjayrai55

Fuse nearly complete now. On to the wing!

sanjayrai55

Wing. Spar is wood moulding strip 1" X 1/4"

sundaram

Sanjay Sir too Good. The speed with which you are going no one can catch up. All scratch build and multiplied by 5 times every time this time for sure one price you are taking.  {:)} {:)} {:)}  :hatsoff:

Aileron Servo fitment made

Wing folded over. As soon as I get some decent Corro, I'll make a new wing. This is horrible!

Some vinyl work on the fuse. Tail feathers fitted

Girish...go back to sleep. You're confusing me :D

sundaram

@Girish Sanjay Sir is not 90:10 Glow fuel he is full 100% Nitro-methane. Explosive.  ;D

True Manoj. I seem to get through a lot of them

sanjayrai55

Fuse continues

sanjayrai55

Fuse complete with the LG installed

I just hated the wing. The corro was mushy, and had gone all dented

So, making a new wing. I only had 3.5 mm corro, heavy, but....what to do?  ;D

sanjayrai55

Wing complete  ;D

sanjayrai55

Ready for maiden. 2 days for the build (including 2 wings) as committed  ;D ;D

Awesome sir :bow: :bow:. Such a pretty model.  {:)} {:)}
Sir, I'd a query regarding what you've used for making the landing gear. It seems to be aluminium....?
Also, is it not possible to achieve such accuracy, if in the upper surface of the wing the flutes are in the direction of the spar. Is it necessary to keep the direction of flutes perpendicular to spar...?

sanjayrai55

Thank you Utkarsh

Yes, it is Aluminium. Avaiable from RCD, RCB & HK for Rs 200

If you put the flutes lengthwise, the corro will flatten on the spar. So instead of an aerofoil, you will get a triangle

utkarshg13

Thank you sir.
I got it. Yes, it would result in a triangle. Actually, I was having only 1 sheet of coro(6ft X 2ft). The flutes are in 6 ft direction. So, I thought there must be some way of using it because its tough to source coroplast here in Allahabad. No problem I would try to get a new sheet of coro that to yellow in colour. I need it for my Piper Cub.
