I was wondering whether anyone here has attempted a scratch build of and EDF out of balsa here? (Large scale 120mm give or take). If so could you share it ?
I know some people have done it abroad, but I want to see stuff made domestically
Regards
never try the enery putted in the 120mm edf is above 5kw for obtaining 7 to 8 kg thrust you will hurt your self
Having flown one, i know it's perfectly safe. Although extremely fast.

I am looking at the L39 Albatross. Yes the process maybe same, but construction techniques will vary a bit, since a custom duct needs to be made for the edf so formers have to be adjusted accordingly. And then retracts etc. need to be added so that will be different.
The whole structure should ideally be fibreglassed to increase strength, and then comes wrapping/painting.
The duct will need to be made either using a two piece mould or using the lost foam process.
will you be using plans or you will lay your own plans in cad
Let's see. I might buy some plans from a person who has built it and flown it already. If time permits I will lay up the plans myself
