The Big Nasty is an Aerobatic 3D Type model, built with Fan Fold Foam

It's on RC Groups, and our very own Ashta has also built it with a Corro Fuse and Foam wing.

Corro does not have the structural strength, being anisotropic, to build a profile. It's bending resistance is poor unless a structure is created

Used a 2826-1400 motor. Will use a 9*47 SF prop. That's all I have  :'(

Ideally would have preferred a 200~250 W motor, about 800-1000 KV, capable of swinging an 11 X 4.5 or so prop :(

Why, thank you Iyer sir  :salute:

What do you suggest for the powertrain? I'm not too happy with a 1400 KV motor. The other option I have is a HK Donkey motor, about 1050 gm thrust, @ 730 KV. Maybe use an 11*6 or something???

@sanjayrai55 sir,
That 2826-10 1400 kv is 205 watts. 3s 7x4, 2s 9x4.7
780gms thrust.
Not enough?
What is the weight with servos but without motor, prop, esc and battery?

I have a new 2830 1000kv, 210 watts, 10x7 on 2s, 8x4 on 4s, 890gms thrust claimed.
Also have a DYS 2836 1120kv which is about 300 watts.
If you need either, will send.
Regards.

Iyer sir, I have managed a 2836-1100 KV. Plan to use that with an 11*5.5 E Prop

Right now working on the controls - need about 45 degrees travel on the surfaces. Will put the control surface side of the pushrod in the bottom hole of the horn; may have to extend the servo arms (How  :headscratch: :headscratch: ???)

K K Iyer

Using a servo arm radius of 1.5 times the control horn radius should do the trick.

sanjayrai55

Will use a different design of Horn - an adjustable height horn  >:D

Bought it from HK about 6-8 months ago. Had some few grams left in postage limit, and thought that maybe some day they would be useful :D
