Most boring part of new plane is to cut the parts as per layout!!!!! ;D :banghead:

thanks to Angad  :salute:!!!! for giving me all the parts cut from 5 mm biofoam!!!

this is 23" wingspan SU-27. it was lying with me for around 1 month or so and finally decided to complete it!!!

Last weekend completed the frame and decided to complete it today. but thought of doing something different.
so unlike my previous profile builds, i decided to make complete fuselage for this, but wings are still profile!!!

1st i created one template for fuse and then use it to stick it around vertical fuse to create proper fuse....

pls find picture below!!!!

used clear tape to keep thing is place and used Evotite to glue it to fuse!!!

let me know if u like my idea!!!!

finally was able to maiden my Su 27, last week!!!!!  :o

flight went little tricky for me  :o, little nose heavy so tried to adjust trims with little luck, it kept coming down so tried to keep it in the air so didnt get much time to properly trim, so decided to land within just few min!!!  :'(

landing was little ruff!!!! :banghead: approach was ok but came down with more speed than expected, it touch ground with impact and broke into 2 pieces at propeller gap, where structure is little week, no other damage, completely repairable. but there were few suggestions like convert it into delta plane...... as u can see in the pictures!! :giggle:

here is video

So do all deltas start out as fighters ? :giggle:  Nice thought there :)  Just stick the vertical fins on the delta piece with v-tail mixing, and you are done !

Do you have a 3 blade prop on it? I wonder if that caused the plane to break on landing :headscratch:
Any ways, a beautiful plane! Repair, reinforce and take her up again

wow, really beautiful. Hope to see it again soon.

Hi Ashish....everything seems to be fine except for the position of the battery...you need to position it a little backward to achieve the correct CG.... also the bio-foam skids you have made, with the CF rod extensions, might protect the plane from getting damaged, but they also put unnecessary load on the structure at the time of landing...this is why I think the plane split into two pieces...my suggestion, use smaller landing skids...
Hope to see it back in the air soon.....

regards.
