I had made a Birdie 10 a year ago, but was not happy with the build, or the performance. Am trying again with some modifications

Best of Luck!. That's the same power setup I'm using on the AviSport. Keep the weight to 1000-1100g and you will have plenty of power and speed. ;D
I know you are using that, obviously >:D
And I know the weight, again - obviously >:D >:D
Thanks, Maahin
Are you using cyno for pasting sir
Dev, in a Corro build I typically use 4 different adhesives:
1. For general use, Cyano
2. For stressed areas like firewall or landing gear base plate wood to corro, 5 minute Epoxy
3. For large flat surfaces which would be difficult to clamp down, or use cyano (as it would dry on one side by the time I finish applying on the other) or which need some flex in the joint, Fevicol SR 998 - a rubber based adhesive. Typically when I am gluing the wing edge after folding over. I don't need to clamp to dry
4. For fillet joints (two surfaces at right angles to each other) I use hot glue e.g. vertical stab to fuselage
Thank u sir... And I dn know how to alight vertical stab to the fuse
What about the thickness of coro sir
Here the tail section & ailerons are 4 mm, rest 3 (actually 2.7 mm)
My kind request sir... Pls tell about ur... Coro thickness... In ur build logs

ATB Sir for your build
Insha Allah Gusty.
ATVB to Sanjay Sir.
Thanks, gentlemen.
Now Gusty, when did I say that? All I said was Sandy will win 2015 :giggle:

And now, the wing
The wing has a sweep-back, and a dihedral, and tapers towards the tips
I used the concept (sort of) of an upside down wing build. Put the taper of the spar at the bottom, so it gets an automatic dihedral with the top being nearly flat

As expected; very clean, neat and fast build.
Thanks Nitesh. See you changed your Profile pic, but you haven't changed the text ;) (the gun text)
hahaha Rai sir :giggle:
Sanjay sir.... Is that sr you have applied for the wings? How long it has to be left for drying??
@Sanjay sir, which website do you use for photo uploading.
Dev - get some SR 998, read the instructions. Basically you apply it on both surfaces and wait till it is touch-dry; a little tacky. Then press both surfaces hard together and they bond instantly (Contact Adhesive) Full strength achieved after some hours
Nitesh this has been answered so many times. (and through PMs too!)
When in doubt, right click and open in new tab, and see the URL
Wing completed. Now both wing and fuselage complete. But will have to put this build on hold for some days due to Motor issues

The motor I was going to use has packed up. I've ordered another - was not available in LHS so HK - which will come after about 3 weeks >:(
I finished the decorating meanwhile - in a dhinchak colour scheme

Good build Sanjay sir
As usual fantastic build sir.
whez maiden?
fast and beautiful build {:)} :salute:
Thanks Nithinraj, Vishal, Saurabh, Jana :thanks: :thanks:
Maiden after I get the motor :(
Awesome. I now suffer from the "gotta fly that thing" itch! :giggle:
Never leave an itch unscratched ;) :iagree:
Very cute/beautiful build. My dad thought that it was an RTF plane when I showed him the pics.
{:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} :goodjob: :iagree:
Lovely model Sanjai Sir...... should be a beauty to fly too....
Thanks Nitesh - your Dad is obviously a great man :giggle: :giggle:
Thanks Shobhit sir :thanks:
:thanks: Bunty
True Builder ! I request Anwar to give one extra chance ! instead of five times say 6 or 7 for finish and beauty.
PS
Jana.f22 too is doing some nice builds
I guss I can predict the winners.
Coro builds are getting prettier day by day. Great job.
Thank you Gusty
Nitesh....no one can predict the winners as it is by lucky draw
Thanks Ashok-ji

Seriously sir? Lucky draw? No fun then.
Yup,the rules are pretty clear
The fun is in the building, I guess. All of us take pride in our builds. Unless it is that guy Chodankar, who thinks we only build for the prize, and with judging based on a draw of lots, we will do chaalu kaam

U r already in HOF HALL OF FAME

Some build there Sanj... Definitely no "Chaalu Kaam"... Perfection at its best!!

Had maidened it last week, in high winds; landed in a keechad puddle :giggle:
That's one amazingly fast flier! Waiting for video
How nice....best of luck chief!!
And here's the video, complete with spectacular ending! Sorry for the video quality, I was taking the video, and not very good at it
https://youtu.be/5X18-8bEu2A (https://youtu.be/5X18-8bEu2A)
that was a very god model sir sry to see its end like that .is that repairable?
but an amazing thing i see in you sir is you enjoy crashes also as much as your successfull flights.
planes are not rock solid it is you sir
i also have a image after crash
I don't enjoy crashes
It is repairable
That is so sad..... the way it went down is a mystery..... just would not act to controls....was it a glitch ??
No big deal, minor repairs
Yes sad to see such a beautiful controlled flight ending in a disaster. Thank god it is repairable.
My Corro Spadcap 232 inspired by you is now ready with an extra 4 Cms added to the firewall. On investigation on the net, Allan found our Models CG should be further 2 Cms towards front. So another 100 grams nose weight added. Wing incidence was 5degrees positive ....... Reduced to 2.5.
Now if this doesn't fly like a bird today ........
Sorry to see that happen........ well I am sure you will have it in the air soon....
Best Wishes
Thanks Shobhit-ji
Update - after minor repair, flew two sorties in strong winds last weekend ;D
Nice Model Sanjayji... I too had exactly a similar crash on my Avispad some time back.. Any specific reason you see for this.
I guess you can't compare. The Avispad is a high wing trainer, with excellent slow speed characteristics.
The Birdie is a swept-back low winger, and needs to be flown fast......always. The incident you saw was a tip stall. It was a monor repair, and it's flying as usual - fast ;)
Your Avi was probably going too slow in a turn
Thanks for this info...you are right it was too slow in the turn.
