It has been a while since we had a build log ;)
cool and i wish u success in this project.
and i am doing to do a full fledged review of the pulama 3d epp techone shockie like the one's in rcg and i have started with my work on the review on msword 2007 after last editing will post it here. anwar bhaiya is there a way we can make the review section like one in rcg or even better with one column for specs and many other such stuffs

Quotecool and i wish u success in this project.
thanks subbu
update, finished cutting wing half with ailerons, aero foil, tape hinges and dihedral
update, basic fuse is done need to sand n trim
update, fuse is done n elevator is being glued as i post rudder next in line
hey,
is it thermocole that u r using?
Edwin
yes its thermocole but of varying densities
update, the plane is near ARF stage :giggle:
update, finished covering the wing n cut the servo slot (connecting rods/control horn will be done by morning). Started covering the fuse!
hey guys i just finished my blu-baby without electronics
its a 33inch BLU-BABY
the time i took to build it was exactly 3hrs 4mins and 37seconds
mine had many improvements too i had a rib assisted airfoil and carbon fibre reinforcement too
the material i used was the same thermocol i was talking about in the other thread
let the pics speak for themselves

hi subbu
in the 4th n 5th pictures the fuse and tail surfaces look slight bend :headscratch: or this is a photo effect
what is the weight of the model now ?
update, wing is done and the servo centers at 1460usec or 1.46msec with little upward angle in both the aileron half's
hey sahil bhaiya sorry the cf rod were out of position i have rectified the problem now
the weight of the model currently with landing gears is a mere 85gms
subbu
hey you don't have to say sorry and what power setup are you planing to use also what is the bead size of the thermocole you are using ?? (1mm - 2.5 mm dia)
here's my spec
Power setup
motor: 10gram 1811-2000 brushless motor from hobbycity
prop: GWS 5X3 orange propeller
battery: Hyperion 2S 400mah
ESC: turnigy-plush 10A
the motor prop combo is suppose to produce 130grams of thrust at 3amps draw 2S
expecting the auw to be under 90 grams !
update
great i am putting in a beast of power
2212/10 with a 9*5 and a 3s 850 mah batter and no rudder control only ailerons flaps and elevator
i could fly nine of your blu-babies with my motor
hi subbu just make sure the model is upto it
update, building landing gear ;D guys i was thinking of using rubber band to hold the landing gear to fuse what do you people think ???
Isn't it better to use something like cycle spokes to build the landing gear, to conserve weight ?

hi subbu just make sure the model is upto it
you said it right
the tremendous power from my motor and the lack of reinforcement on the wing lead to the flex in the wing which ultimately gave way and one wing half just came out well the plane flew well anyways

subbu
hey guys i just finished fixing it and it glides as it used to be but i have added another 100gms of reinforcement on the wing and body to handle the pressure and it seems to work

subbu
Why not couple of CF rods, aluminium rods, kabab sticks etc ? This is one heck of a reinforcement ;D
i dedicate the latest version of my blu-baby to rcindia

Awwww ;)
Guess it is a Diwali gift to RC India :)
Subbu,
That CF flat strip along the fuse should be placed perpendicular to the length of the fuse so that the fuse will not flex. The way you have placed it there can still be flex of the fuse. The plane looks just like a warbird thats already been shot down several times :D
subbu you are a fast builder man
can anyone tell me if we can use cycle spokes for reinforcement?
