Hi guys,
I have started making the model from 12inch foam plates, here is the progress so far. Targeting AUW to be under 3 grams with out electronics (one wing missing in Picture/weight add 0.56 grams).
one can download the plan from below link, (Print Blu-Baby 24 Parts Kit Full-2 to 47% scale).

Wat about electronics you had selected and from where you got 12 inch plate
If you don't mind.
Thanks
Thanks Sahil for the link Can you please point to the exact reply number where the micro plan is available in RCG thread.
Edit Now Noticed this Thanks

i will be using supermicro 3ch 2.4Ghz Rx(<1gram with wires), turnigy 130mah 3.7v (4grams), 7mm quadrotor motor/prop (3.5grams). and home made actuators (<1gram).

Plates are called thermocol plate or foam plates or biopack plates etc they some in 25/100 pack, 25 Nos 12inch pack costs Rs 45/-.

update
One more question which one is full 2 and what do you mean by 47%
Hope you are not getting annoyed
okay Print the attached PDF in fit to page (A4) which is 47% of the original size (hope i'm not complicating this)
sahil
Thanks for the PDF sahil ;D
QuoteThanks for the PDF sahil Grin
are you planning to make one or already started ?
Planning to make. I have a packet of 12" plate.
great :)
Very much thanks for clearing my doubt
finished the coil actuators (96ohms each). Its getting closer to flight and heavier ;D
finished and crashed the model 8-), AUW was 13.5 grams. It flew well with limited control (rubber only), had i used elevator it would have been a different story
will post the video link.
Nice build sahil 13grams great ,im still stuck on drives
here is a iphone video

Thanks roman, although model is in no-flying condition, planning to make v1.1 with 16 or 20 inch WS and under 14grams 3ch.
Nice mini micro plane, Sahil.........The model flew quite good.....only all of a sudden it went into a spin, what was the reason?? did you find out? the blue baby has enough lift due to the under chambered wing. What were the wind conditions when you flew your model,Is it not possible to fly it indoors, say in the living room??
Quoteonly all of a sudden it went into a spin, what was the reason?? did you find out?
Plenty of reasons, too big a motor, lack of elevator, rubber only control, poor dihedral. Actually it was a loop which made the model uncontrollable.
QuoteWhat were the wind conditions when you flew your model,Is it not possible to fly it indoors, say in the living room??
there was a bit of cross wind and due to high AUW/DD motor setup i doubt its possible to fly in a room.
The best part i felt about all this is i still got my model trimming skills ;)
what ever it flew {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)}, climbed well thou ...was this your first micro sahil
yes it was my first micro.
I thought before i take another dig at Blu-baby i might build a actual micro model from plans so here is quick junior :) and struck at remote actuators >:(
For interested builders plan can found in below link.

sahil excellent your first micro ,good choisce the blu baby that too outdoor flying grest.....all the best with the junior he is coming out good whats the wing span ... i think your blu baby can fit in here http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/successfully-flown-micro-airplane-thread-only/msg154372/#msg154372 (http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/successfully-flown-micro-airplane-thread-only/msg154372/#msg154372)
same as in the plans 12.5inch
Since my last post i build a full size blue baby 24 inch model out of balsa and Foam but was waiting for 4ch airtronics receiver to finish the model. Original plan was to use HK super micro brick with 250mah battery and 10g RCB BLM but the setup needed MOP. Right now in the process of modding the fuse to accommodate 3.6gram servos, 2S 300mah pack, 6gram ESC, motor & RX.
Fuse
why this in such a fantastic model ???? red circle.??
it is one of the most successful 1st time beginner model on the net and "RED" was to enforce the rudder
I know but put it in a way which is in line with aerodynamics!!!!
this way you are obstructing air flow..... the plane will still fly, but might show unnecessary uplift.
lie them down and sand them so they are not obstructing air flow.
will do some patch work to make it more aerodynamic !
A Nice plane :D
Regards,
Aman.
thanks aman.
Nice video on how to do push rods 8) , i have used this method but sightly different.

Plane is mostly done, landing gear and misc stuff left :)
coming out goood,So whats auw now, carefull with auw its a 12incher
weighing scale has run out of battery need to replenish them and its a 24inch WS.
Model is finished, waiting for batteries to charge and wind to come down.
Too windy here in mumbai aswell sorry i thaught it was 12"ws....hey sahil i just remembered looking at your pictures i had built some thing similar here it is.... this also was a 24wing span http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/stick-n-foam/msg137724/#msg137724 (http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/stick-n-foam/msg137724/#msg137724)
