A friend of mine suggested me to build Blue-Baby as my first scratch build. :) So here we go...

I got the tiled plan from rc-groups and as of now just printed them out & cut them by scissors..

Tomorrow will lay these paper cut outs on the foam and do a surgery..

Using a 5mm sheet for the entire build..any suggestions ?

Check out the pic....

flying_g

dnt forget to use carbon rods for stiffening the structure ;D

atul_pg

Thanks flying_g..

I guess carbon rods are must..still lets see how it turns out to be..

doing the surgery today..wish me luck...

sandeepm

use 2mm coro for wing as entire structure with 5mm will be quiet heavy as my experience says.
Sandeep
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!

Going with a powerful enough power system would also work, right ? :headscratch:

Am using a rcforall 2212/13 motor , 9gm servos, 30 amp esc and I guess will go in for 1800 mah..

Sandeep It wont be heavy..one of the guys on our field has made a 3D plane completely out of 8mm and he uses this motor... So no worries..

Surgery in the night or evening..

cheers..

Got an aluminium hollow rod, bend it in between and put it on the 40" wing..
