Seems like i like small planes than bigger one (:|~!!!!! easy to carry, can fly anywhere and many places to crash :giggle:!!!!

i love HKs Micro P51, since long i was in dilemma to build one or to buy one :banghead:, though i am not skilled to fly such things.... ???

i had few micro motors, ESC with me, so finally decided to build one for me.

i downloaded picture from HK, created 20" plan from it in corelDraw and converted to pdf to take printout.

it is still in progress, few pictures of initial stage.

spec: motor: Turnigy 1811 2900 Kv or C10, 2x4.7gm servo for aileron and elevator, Turnigy 10A ESC.
used 3mm Biofoam

hopefully wil complete this by weekend and if everything went smooth will maiden it on sunday!!!!!! if maiden is success then will make radium sticker for it.....

Nice job Ash! please share the drawing when you are satisfied with the design. Are you planning to put some reinforcement to the fuse as well ?

not maidened as yet, gorgeous looking model, i hope our Micro P 51 too comes up like this,

while we at mustang, a few facts about mustang, in a nutshell, before mustangs, during WWII Spitfire were the fighter escorts, they could not escort the bombers upto berlin, and bombers where pretty much cannon fodders to german fighters, Bubi Hartmann (German ace) scored some 300 + kills during that time, then came P51s on the scene, this aeroplane changed the face of the war, tilted it in the favour of allies. that is Mustangs for you,

in RC there is Mustang B, Mustang Obsession, Drago, Yellow Mustang and plethora of others.

Nice build as always ashish....wish i had the time to come and fly on sundays with you guys!!..but i still love the process of bulding more than the process of flying..All the best to you ashish!

Finally was able to complete my building

landing gear was made using .8mm CF rod and ,5mm metal wire with 2 GWS wheels!!!!!

magnets were used for canopy and front hatch
