Composite high performance powered glider - 1600mm

This is a full composite high performance powered glider.

The wing is hotwired from EPS with airfoils as  AG34 : AG35 : AG36... 1600mm span.

The wings, tailplane and vertical plane are foam , fiberglass, carbon fibre composites which are vacuum bagged.
The wing is one piece with full length built up CF tow spar, and live fiberglass hinge for flaps and ailerons.
The fuselage is pod and boom. The pod is balsa, fiberglass composite with carbon fiber reinforcements . 

Electronics : 2217 1000kv motor, 30A esc, 6 x 9gm micro servos, 2200 mah 3S bty.

AUW - 815 gms.

Flew it with two flap settings at 4 and 7 degrees, the third position was airbrakes at 45 degrees.

A great flyer .. fast, with low sink rates.. could thermal in wide thermals. Tight turns in narrow thermals was a challenge, due to no dihedral. Landings required airbrakes   ...unfortunately in one of the flights one blade of the folding prop broke, resulting in the whole motor mount breaking off and a crash
