I have started making NASA UCAV X-47B last Sunday for participating in sweepstakes-2014.
I have added winglets from NASA X-48 design for more stability.
I m posting the design drawn on plastic corrugated sheet photo which I took on 27th April 2014, Sunday with newspaper.
I have plan to coat it with nylon cloth from old raincoat for better strength and look.
As work will advance I will post more photos.

I've always wanted to build the X48, drop it from a quadcopter and propel it using a small rocket.
Maybe your build is gonna help me out. Good luck!

It has only three parts.
Top duct fan covering, main wing and battery cover at bottom.

Winglets are not attached separately.
I just folded main wing.

Highly disappointing morning.
my plane crashed during test flight due to under power ducted fan and i think i should add rudder in original design

Going to start new thread for sweepstakes 2014. i am making my favorite F-22.

That was bad. Didn't you checked the weight of your model and thrust required for it

Darshil Patel

I checked it and i knew the thrust to weight ratio was not high.
but i didn't have choice so i tried. My Battery 30 amp esc also damaged.
Later i will make larger plane with pusher prop.

utkarshg13

That was sad. Loosing battery esc plane :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
