Ashta

hello,
Always felt the necessity to take the video while flying the plane. So tried the following crude but effective idea.
The plane is the scratch built one,  from "Frog" plane idea. The wind was blowing hard (u can here it in the video). This is an un edited video.
If anybody has some learning curve in this topic, pl share.
The pictures and video are self explanatory.
Thank you for watching.

Inspired by Ashta's design got one done for myself.
Yeah this is crude but is really good!!
Good thing is you dont have to invest on a new cam..

01: A 100 Rupee Cap.
02: Stitching at a local bag repair shop. 50 bucks. (Would we far less if you dont take you cam  ;D).
03: After stitch; with 4 piece elastic. Take you own elastic. This one is 1mtr x 1/2" @ 8-10 Rs/mtr.

04: Some Fevicryl (acrylic/black) for better lookz.
05: Cap with the cam - Side view.
06: Cap with the cam - Front view. (Two elastics on either side, Top elastic goes down. Bottom elastic goes all the way back from the top). Yeah the cam is slightly misaligned when I took the pic.

Quick Tip:
A good way to calibrate is to adjust and record the ceiling/wall and flooring/wall lines. Get it to the centre.
Then check a record on your compound wall from 20-50 ft away and then a distant electric pole top. It should be just fine.
Just a couple of times and you'll know how to set it in first shot.
For Aero shoot; record at 20-60% preset zoom. (will post a video sometime later).

This thing really works like crazy.

You dont need to bother so much for Fly-and-Shoot all by yourself!!
Just give a hitch ride to the flying ground and I would do the honor for you Drone!!

BTW a neatly finished product. Any plans for marketing at LHS?

Thanks Ujjwal and SunLikeStar.
Ujjwal with this we can solve the problem of 'shake', 'blank', 'bad zoom' when we do a hand held recording at the field.  ;)
