Guys I must admit this plane flies a dream..... Superbly built fully visible in dull skies... what more can I add.. we checked the weather and realised a 2 hour opening slot..Ended up at the flying field and had a few sorties... the rain could not make its mind up but this being a Corro plane not balsa... was just left on the field getting wet while we had a coffee in the caravan and waited for rain to stop.... No more rushing to save the models from getting wet....

As they say all things that go up, must come down... I guess I could not diagnose the right fault in the electronics so after I flew it a few weeks ago, the servos and electronics froze and the plane ended up in a spiral descent.. THUD!

Resulting in minor cosmetic damage which was soon repaired.

There was a small dent in one of the two capacitors of EMAX 60Amp Simon Series ESC.

I ordered these and replaced one..

Perhaps I should thave replaced both?

I repaired the plane and flew again hoping all was corrected..

Bit of body damage and a dented capacitor. So I thought.
I wish I had done a range test all over again as the problem could have been noticed :(

The damage repair took a couple of evenings, 2 to 3 hours each evening and plane was ready to fly...Capacitor in the ESC replaced..

Just waiting for a nice Sunday to go out and fly it and it happened yesterday..

As I said..I wish I had tested the range again! :(

I had replaced the Orange Receiver with a double arial one since the last Spiralled crash when all the servos had locked and plane came down, a capacitor in the ESC was also replaced.
The model took off and needed trimming...I took it 3 Mistakes high and trimmed it, tried some loops and stall turns...

As I turned in line with the Wind Turbines, the model just stopped responding and came spiralling down in this crop.

Spent ages looking for it!

I guess it is a shredding job in the Combine Harvester in 8 to 10 weeks when the farmer reaps the crop..

So that is the story on this Cap 232 so far.

Its quite intriguing as a few of our club members have stopped using Spektrum Txs with Orange rxs...

I have been using DX8 myself.

A couple of them usinghave switched over to RADIOLINK. I wonder if anyone else has had any problem...Maybe I should start a new thread or is there a thread someone could guide me to please!
