Only thing to be careful here, aerosol paints contain thinner which may attack depron/bio foam.

You are absolutely right VC aerosol with thinner just eats away foam and deprons/bio foam. Even if there is a pin hole in the lamination it starts eating within. I had used aerosol for my thermocole glider but only after the thermocole was neatly laminated with packing tape. With aerosol paint you can generally paint surfaces but no intricate art work.

Does PilotIndia sends your order by post?

Thanks for the compliment VC and Krish.

VC when you said 15 days you will provide them with a partner/ adversary, it was just the required motivation for me to roll out this mean looking machine. wish some day we get an opportunity to meet where we will be able to do some RC aerial combat with our F-18, SU-37 and Mig-29.

Dear Sandeep,

What I have used here is an airbrush to paint the model. The photographs has already been posted earlier in this thread. Paint used is acrylic colours which is easily available in any Stationery shop. The Depron used in the model is as such having the base colour i.e. the pinkish colour. the stripes have been painted with the airbrush using shade of maroon. The edges have been painted with the same shade of maroon. The wing tips have been shade painted with black.

The Engine, Stars, Black lines, cockpit, intake ports, other ports and big letters has been painted using a stencil cut out in a old 'X' ray film using black colour sprayed using airbrush. After having painted out line of the engine using the cut stencil, the engine has been further shaded using the airbrush.

The small lettering are printed out of a label printer and pasted as a decals.

The Flag colours and the Futaba are Decals.

My good Col. Sir,

Whether or not the Raptor crashes over the weekend, your Russian beauties have inspired me to do a thorough job on the Hornet! I certainly look forward to the day when we meet and fly the birds together. Insha Allah!

I have a LOT of catching up to do before that.

Cheers!

Now every sunday and holiday I am enjoying flying these two fighters / birds who are a treat to fly and watch flying,
a flight video is long overdue. My 9 year old son who used to be my cameraman is now more interested in flying with me through WTR - 7 trainer and is always next me with his futaba 6EX which is sync with WTR-7.

So I am running short of a camera man. It is high time I think I should fabricate one of the HAT camera like Mr Astha.

Notwithstanding the above I have recorded a very short video of the Mig - 29 and posting it here. apologies to you all for it, I will post a longer and more pleasing video the next time.

dear sundaramvelar,
congrats!

does this have wheels? nice to see the take off.

ashta
You can't be first because you do not know!

sundaram

Thankyou very much Mr Astha,

Both the fighters have fixed landing gears, however not steerable, does nice straight take off and landings. No wonder I choose to fly from the helipad and not from a straight tarmac surface, as even if veers of a little to the left or right there is room for some margin of error.

ashJR7202

wow!!! it looks great and fly even great!!!! seems like it has got Thrust vectoring capability!!!!!!  :-)

Thankyou very much AshJR,

you are absolutely right it has thrust vectoring. Depron sheets forming the elevator in elevon mixing are cut in a shape that  the sheets where the engine is painted is deflecting the air draft of the propeller and giving the thrust vectoring effect.

Apart from this the aileron surface are also on elevon mixing operating parallel with elevator surface. This makes the model extremely maneuverable, and is very difficult to control. Therefore the control surfaces are on Minus 50% exponential.
