I see there is no separate thread for people to share their micros experience. realized this when writing for theleabres. therefore this thread. here is the start point as far as sourcing is concerned for micros some more will be added including reference to some micros thread from this forum. valuable contribution from Sandy and other micro guys solicited

All you need to go the micro modelling way is this module to go into your Turnigy 9X 9XR or flysky or module based JR radio
and this compatible 2.4Ghz SuperMicro Systems - Receiver, Brushless ESC and 2 x Linear Servos All-in-one (5ch)

This Double linear servo to add two aileron to your aeroplane

This is not a bad motor

Of course no pain option is this J3 Cub

Any HK based LHS could source these items for you if you cant from Hobby King. Master Micro modellors are Sandy (Sundaram) and Astha. The should be able to guide you into scratch building if you are going that way. all you need is some foam disposable plates.

Do you know there is brusless motor inside every digital clock which gives the rotation pulse to the clocks second hand movement and further to the all the moving parts inside. smaller the clock smaller is the inrunner magnet. if you recover a inrunner magnet from the cheap china made digital clocks, you can actually fabricate a small micro brushless motor similar to the onle listed last in the brushless motor catagory of the http://microflierradio.com/motors.html for $ 120 which does not need a ESC also. At the miniscule current requirement for it to run, it will run on the signal pulse of the receiver also.

But for the thrust it generates to match it with the correct receiver of appropriate wt is the trick ( fabricating one is one still i am not confident) to flying such micro models at a DIY cheaper option.
