Hi I am going to build a parkfly Mini Electric Bi-Plane for 6 th Sweepstake 2015...

To be honest I am into Multirotors  this is first ever Plane that I am going to build....

I am going to use coroplast sheets.....

Wing span               : 20 inches
wing chord              :  4  inches
total length of plane  : 19 inches

Electronics

Turnigy Aerodrive D2826/10 1400 kv motor
Master Airscrew propeller 7x4
Turnigy 9 gms servos - 2
Turnigy Plush 30 amps ESC

Lets Get Started........

Collected the coro sheets.... required to build

@liakhat,
Looks good so far.
Two questions:
1. Are you going to mount the top wing directly on the fuselage? For bipes distance between wings is usually set equal to one chord or more.
2. What's the weight so far (bare airframe)?
Best wishes.

liakhat

@ K K Iyer Thank u Very Much  :)

1. No sir top wing is just placed on fuselage just to take pic....  i am going to mount it about 5 inch from bottom wing.  my wing chord is 4 inch.....
2. The weight till now is Under 100 grams sir.

K K Iyer

Under 100gms? Well done!
Use a smaller motor and a smaller lipo to reduce weight and improve flight performance significantly.
You dont really need that 2826. It can easily fly a 600gm plane.
Best of luck.

@ Iyer sir thank u very much that's a lot of information from ur previous thread ......

The motor is just laying around so I thought using it I don't have smaller motor sir and I will be using a 2200 mah battery

Day 3

Today got collected electronics required

Worked on wing to give it a dihedral

@prashant:
Thank u so much. I haven't decided yet where to fly may be there is a ground near my house i will try there but the problem is there is military Area near to the ground have to find out....

@intorc:
Ya me too thinking that may be heavy but i have no other battery i only have a 2200mah & a 5000mah  :( :( so no other option...

2.2Ah 3S lipo is like 180-200gms + the 2826 motor maybe another 120-150gms, 30A esc another 60-80 it will be like half a kilo payload on a simple coro ~100gms airframe?

liakhat

Hi Ashok ya me too thinking of it I haven't yet installed the electronics.... As suggested by many of you guys may be I should change the setup.... I am looking online for proper setup... And I will come up with much smaller setup...
Thanks guys.

sanjayrai55

Nice build

Mr. K K Iyer has given you some suggestions already for power setup. Tried that?
