My f22 plan built all with 6mm depron and packaging tape for coloring.
AUW 550grams with 1500mah 20C 3S and 610grams with 2200mah 20C 3S.
30A Mystery ESC.
Motor Rc timer 2826 2000kv motor.
Current draw at full throttle with 6x4 is 21A.(with my osd current meter)
Did a maiden last week with both setup, but was too windy for my taste of flying. Dint want to push it further so probably the next flight will be only after rainy season. Somehow i dint like this (tomhe f22) for two reasons.1) All the electronics goes underbelly, battery cannot be held with velcro. very unsafe for electronics to land on belly 2) Very less clearance for tailerons when kept on ground, it could easily touch rock or any other object while landing on uneven surface. I already lost a servo due to this. Need to replace this with a metal gear.
F18 full fuse is next in the pipeline!!
More pics
Need to do some ironing yet.
hi,
chk my su-29
Nice build Foamy! When do you plan to maiden her?
Hi,
How to get hold of couple of 6mm depron boards? I have one of the friend offering me a kind hand, (36" by 24") but would like to know if a bigger size is available (39" by 28"). Am planning to build a full size SU-37 (Tomhe design).
Regards,
Sameer.

hi,
chk my su-29
I want the plan for the Balsa F-18 in the background. Please Please Please!! :help: :help: (:|~ (:|~
great looking bird!!!!
hi,
my f-22 profile with edf. unable to maiden as winds are too strong. waiting for winds to settle.
Nice and neat build. What is the WS and EDF Size ? I put a normal 2300 Kv motor with 6x4 prop at the last moment as I felt the 64mm EDF I had was small for my 28" WS F-22.
But this is bot fair Sbajarey Sir!! You are still putting the Balsa F-18 Build 'under the cover'
hi,
foamybuilder can u pls share the cg of ur f-22. as per my plan it says 3.75" back from wing break.
also i have set it up for tailerons.
im using a 64mm edf with 30amp esc and 3s 1000mh lipo.
auw is 500gms.
becoz of winds not risking for a test flight.

Start with 3.75 (what was suggested in the plan), but keep a bit nose heavy. This is what I did for my 2 F-22 profiles. This plane wont react to Ailerons/Elevons unless in little pitch down position.
500g AUW is just awesome! What thickness Depron you used ? Is the profile KFM2 ?
The wind penetration of this model is not very good, so keep away from windy condition,
wow sbajare sir!! one more F-22!!!!
i hav one 64 EDF with me but planning to put it on 24"-25" jet!!!!!
would love to see how EDF performs on 28" plane!!!!!!
all the best for maiden!!!!
hi,
thanks for the info and suggestion. i built frm 5mm depron sheets. one 3mm aluminium spar for wing.
the wing is plain no aerofoil.
have built a su-30 previously with 64mm edf and tailerons. flew great when found the right cg.
winds too strong here hence unable to maiden. dont want to crash on a test flight.
regds
