Fast Cat is not a beginners Plane.Better start with a high wing trainer plane.

If you wish to continue with fast cat, you will meet RAVANA on your first flight. >:D

sorry, i forgot to mention, i've actually done a bluebaby and will practice a lot of flying before i fly the fast cat! its just that i saw it and immediately had a desire to build it!! i thought that pushers are also gud for beginners!!!

Not all pushers. Fast Cat is like a fast jetplane.

Jatayu

Sorry, I can't. Google search may yield some results. Good Luck.

Rao Garu, can you suggest a motor + prop combination to turn the Fastcat into a more controllable machine? I believe the suggested combi is for a superfast flyer. She is a beautiful design and I am a novice. There must be some way to slow her down a bit.... :headscratch:

Please help.

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

Rao

Sorry VC,
I have not flown any pusher prop profile jets till now. My knowledge about them is zero.Just know they are fast flying planes.I am also a novice. I also think that a plane designed for fast flying would not perform the same at lower flying speeds.
Regards,
Rao.

In general Raoji's statement is very true... that fast flying pusher planes cannot really be made to fly slow.  Where I got surprised was with the flying wing (http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/mini-slinger-feedback-on-flying-wings/), which seemed to fly very slow also, especially if there is a small to moderate amount of wind.  So building a flying wing may be an option for you, if you want to try a pusher that can also fly fairly slow.

And you can build pushers which can fly slow, like this one :

http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/durable-light-weight-strong-plane/

The trick seems to be to have lots of wing area (and sort of a mid or high wing design), yet the plane be very very light.  Then put a pusher power system that has enough power to fly it around slow when it is not windy.

Dear VC,
I have made this plane in 24 Inch, in feb 007. I could fly it well that time when in fact i was a beginer with only little experience. if you build light it can fly very slow too. I had used
Hextronics blue motor,  GWS prop 5X4, 3 cell.
AUW 300 grams.

The trick also is to keep the aeleron throws very small, like 20% and is very evry important.
I am planning to make this once more too.
I recomend that u go ahead and u ill not regret.
