Hi
I had few balsa sheet left with me and last night i started with a new model called GO-GO DANCER.
Below is the link where you can see how the model looks like.
http://www.electroflying.com/gogodancer.html
I have increased the plan to 34" wingspan & 7" chord.
Last night started with the wing and its almost complete.
Few pics
:)
.
great efforts!!!!
Thanks ashJR7202.
.
Fixed the slot for nylon bolt to hold the wing to the fuselage.
Slot for servo for aileron.
This aileron setup is not as per plan.
Coming along nicely, Is Deepak guiding you? Or is it someone else?
Another build so soon? Wow.. great going man.. I'm sure its gonna turn out great like ur other models  At this rate ur gonna run out of space to keep all of them!
Wow.. on a building spree..!!
What are you on nowadays.. ?? ??? ;D
Very, very neat build! All the best............
Interesting name! Nice build best of luck!!
Thank you all,
@ flyingboxcar, I had built my School Marm under Deepak's Guidence at his workshop, he is an amazing builder. After building the School Marm i have learned a lot from him about building.
:)
RC,
Yes he is a very good builder. I thought I detected some of his influences on your build and hence my guess that it was Deepak. Say my hello to him.
At the last picture, the last piece of sheet balsa on the rib bay is wrongly placed, The grain of that should be span wise and not chord wise.
I assume this was only for the picture/weighing and you would later correct that
Thanks
Yes, this was just to check the weight & will glue it later.
I will give your regards to Deepak, may i know your real name.
RC,
Let's surprise Deepak.
Just tell him his builder friend from Chennai, and lets see if he is able to place me correctly
Hi flyingboxcar,
I just spoke with Deepak & he said it should be Capt. Manish. Is he correct.
i think he got it right
he is Capt Manish
Nice plane buddy! You have quite a good knack for balsa! :)
RC
Deepak is bang on!!!
Show us some more progress on this one. The assembeled fuse and tail plane etc mounted
Finished the tail plane & will post the pic tomorrow.
:)
The fuse looks great from the side! Love the upward bending tail..
Aileron pics.
More pics
Another suggestion, instead of using the brass sleeve for the aileron tourqe rods it would have been better to use plastic tubing (some of the old empty refills work great). This helps in minimizing metal to metal noise
Something like this ?
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=8857
This hinge is also available at RCDhamaka as well. RCD site seems to be down so giving HK URL.
Thanks flyingboxcar, next time i will keep this in mind
Ujjwal, last time i visited RCD these were out of stock.
No Ujjwana,
Not like those, there is no need to buy anything, simple plastic/nylon tube with matching ID to give adequate movement is enough.
These tubes could be sourced from many things lying around in house, if you look keenly
What's the covering material used RC?
The covering material is Monokote.
This is the first time i have covered the wing alone without anybodys help, it took almost 45 minutes to cover the half wing, tomorrow i will complete the covering.
RC,
Yes it is a bit of pain to cover alone as two pairs of hand are big help in putting on a tight covering. Pain it might be but not impossible.
Your work on the covering shows you have learnt the ropes well.
As long as you remember the trick with monokote is heat and pull, specially around compound curves you can do a good job.
Thanks a lot flyingboxcar,
I am planning to make the same wing as it is in the GO-GO DANCER KIT & i have cut some stickers for the wing.
Pic 1 is the pic of original GO-GO DANCER.
Will look nice with the stickers
Covered the wing finally.
Neat! And do I see a huge boat in the background?
Thanks medicineman1987,
Ya the huge boat is next to be completed, it will take some time.
Wing completed.
:)
A tip for cutting out stickers from monokote.
Take a printout on normal paper but the print should be mirrored. Now stick the cut and printed graphics on the backing side (the side which has a thin poly backing) of Monokote with Fevicol. Cut around the graphics so that you have the final graphics on Monokote, peel away the backing when ready to apply. This would take the printed paper away, and now iron on the monokote graphics on low heat (else it would distort) and once done, seal the edges with sufficient heat, you are done and now have the graphics in the same material as the wings.
Very very neat build. Loved watching the pictures!

Thanks flyingboxcar for the tip on cutting stickers from monokote, will try it next time.
Thanks a lot izmile.
Looks great! So when is it gonna be flight ready?
:)
Got some time to work on my model.
:)

Thanks Akash,
I am planning to finish this model by next weekend.
Looks pretty good. Well done.
Thanks rohitgupta322.
I have done landing gear for this model, landing gear is optional. once the model is done completely, i will check the weight & the decide Weather to use the landing gear or not.
Few pics.
:)
are you using a pylon mount????
Akash, its a pusher model.
I will do the mount as shown in plan.
Canopy.
man you've got some serious skills, good job
BTW is that an actual g.i. joe as pilot :)

We would get a Pundit Jee to the field for Puja/Jhaar-Phook and give Mr Ashta to Maiden it. I can dread to maiden other's foamie and make sorry face on a crash, but not a balsa one!
Sharad
My GGD is ready. This was built by my friend Deepak for me.
Some pics.
The GGD needs covering and fixing the electronics.
Wow that's great.
Looks Like GGD fever griping Bangalore, where's my mask.
@ Akshay
Why dont you join the GGD squardron based out of Bangalore and not Bangkok?? ;)
The GGD flying and display team. ;D
Hey you are becoming a poet influence of GO-GO dancer I suppose. :P
G-G-D Acrobatic team nice idea, Acrobatic teams have their own commentator and travels with the team where ever they go, Consider me for the job.
I hear that GGD lacks stability.
All the Best
