Recently attended an electric only model event at the historic Middle Wallop airfield in the UK and caught action of several stunning, scratch built, electric models. A real joy to video these and share them. True aero-modelling excellence to create these flying works of art.

Awesome thanks for posting . That Rapide with just 5 pounds of weight is incredible. Are we sure it is the correct weight?

That's what the guy told me or rather his transmitter says after the flight at the end of the vid. Does sound extraordinarily light though! Like feather weight for something THAT size.

Yes that Transmitter giving out all details was neat. Perhaps saves the man all the effort to repeat the same information over and over again  ;D
And I seriously doubt the weight is correct. My DB Tiger Moth weighs more than that 8-)

But for me the spoiler was the whine of electric motors. Would have been fantastic with two lasers purring  ;D

HAha...yeah that's impression I got. Don't blame the guy. It can get quite annoying being asked the same questions repeatedly when you've got an interesting model. Did make me laugh though. Quite cool.

Also says wing loading 10.5oz/sqft and power loading 54watts/lb...
Data has internal consistency!

flyingboxcar

Iyer sir did you mean inconsistency? If yes, how did you come to that conclusion?

No need for PM sir, you could have posted the information (you still can) here for benefit of all. And you are quite right that is one light A/c :hatsoff:
