Hi,

It has been long time flying the beaver 3ch and a lot of learning of flight.

Now i want to convert this to a 4ch plane.

My initial search on the net did not give me any encouraging results as most of the people who tried to put ailerons on the Unencumbered wing were highly unsuccessful.

So i had 2 options to put a aileron on Beaver
1. to Build a light wing from depron
2. Buy a ready made wing.... {:)} {:)} {:)}

But due to less time availability, i decided to get a cessna wing for Rs 1k from US
http://www.rcplanet.com/Main_Wing_p/hcaa3900.htm

wing span is almost simmilar to Beaver.

Main challenges ahead
1. Make the wing mount on Beaver for the cessna wing
2. Setup the struts for wing support
3. Still make sure that the Beaver setup can be reproduced in case cessna setup fails.

Can someone suggest me if i am going in right direction and what could be further challenges

the main challenge you are going to face is getting it from USofA( Read through the forum you will understand what i mean.)

i suggest yoyu to build a wing from depron..... though time consuming it will be the best option i can suggest...!!!

:salute: :salute:

build a same wing(same cord and length) with flat base aerofoil or a semi-symmetrical  shape... then go on for aelirons...!!!

dear friends,

Finally i was able to put a hobbico cessna wing on a beaver

self praise  {:)} {:)}

Highlights
1. Cut the standard wing mount to accommodate a flat bottom wing.
2. Struts on the wing with screw.
3. All is done without any support from the web.
4. A lot of trial and error ... broke 3 motor mounts.

Unresolved issues
1. Wing is cutting into the wing mount,, need to strengthen
2. Standard Landing gear is made for soft landing... cessna wing is very fast.
