Title: Help needed in selecting a model
Post by: safeer on June 09, 2014, 11:58:00 AM
Hi friends,

I have a
1800kV motor
http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/1942-avionic-m182631-kv1800-micro-brushless-motor.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/1942-avionic-m182631-kv1800-micro-brushless-motor.aspx)

A 20 amp ESC
http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/806-avionic-20amp.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/806-avionic-20amp.aspx)

Two props ( 6x4 and 8x3.8 )
http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/314-electric-flight-prop-6-x-4-e.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/314-electric-flight-prop-6-x-4-e.aspx)
http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/321-electric-flight-prop-8-x-38-e.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/321-electric-flight-prop-8-x-38-e.aspx)

Rc bazaar says it would give 500-550 gms thrust with 8x3.8 prop and 2 cell 7.4v battery
The only material I can find are thermocol and coro

Please suggest me a suitable plane to build. :help:.
Samlikespad has already suggested me with blue baby

I'd be happy to hear others suggestions and help..
I'd also like to know 11.1v can go with this setup

Thanks :hatsoff:

Safeer, the EZfly seems good but better use foam as smaller the SPADs get, the heavier they end up at least for your first build. And bear in mind that you will need a pusher prop for pusher configs like the EZfly.

My friend, Johnnywalker8pm in this forum had a bad experience with that motor you have selected. the prop never stays together with the motor after 1/3rd throttle. better try something else. As always, i suggest emax CF2812 motor. its robust, neat strong and efficient and can be over propped upto 9x4 prop without overheating. gives somewhere around 600gms of thrust!!!

Thanks sameer & ashok,

I found the motor at eBay,value hobby, emax model, headsuprc and to my great happiness at rc dhamaka.
Why didn't I see this earlier :'(.
For the prop and esc ,should  I buy from dhamaka or will the bazaar one will do?
BTW what do u think about
http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/1943-avionic-m202812-kv2300-micro-brushless-motor.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/1943-avionic-m202812-kv2300-micro-brushless-motor.aspx)
Gives 600-650 gram thrust.and are avionic products not good?

Thanks ashok,great thanks :hatsoff:

Safeer, go with Russ trainer. very good.
Just a opinion. better go with a 1000-1200 kv motor, and this one is, one of the best. you wont regret..

Safeer, below is some prop suited to the motor , i have posted in above link.

orange props, good but may break easily. 9 or 10 inch.

manoj,
Great Thanks..
( The prop I bought from rcbazaar earlier never got fit on the motor.
So this time I thought I would ask for suggestions from people who bought the motor and prop from
rcdhamaka.
Hope it all fits well.. (props, prop saver) )

Practically, this would be my first flight.Probably I am going to break props.I think I'll buy two 9x5 orange props

BTW,   I can use my avionic ESC for the motor, right?

For the battery, any suggestions.

Safeer , the props i have linked above will fit to the motor with prop saver. The apc props have small rings , which helps, to fit any prop .
