So its time to update my new plane made up of coro 2mm
i am arun from kerala(palakkad). i started this hobby more than 4 years ago and now only took it as so serious and making a plane was my dream and few months back i managed to build one and it crashed due to lack of experience and some tech probs..
then i decided to build a trainer for better trainer as a beginner.
wait for the picture of the trainer plane...

using  much high kv motor this will be out of sight too early

manojswizera

Arun you should use 1000 to 1500 kv motor with 8 or 7 inch prop. To start with your first plane..
good luck for ur first flight

arun.sreelakam

ok then i will wait for the motor..
also now i know the reason why my first plane crashed... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  >:(
dont want to repeat it again..
thanks swizera

vineet

the reason why the bignr buddies fail for there first flight due to lack of knowledge , i think wait for the right electronics would be more far good than the crash and making the model again

hangingtough

Another thing,

Your battery is too ooo big, I recommend a smaller size to start with.

This will make your plane go slow and easy to handle

arun.sreelakam

@ hangingtough: battery is too big means the size or the power?
i am having a 900mah 3s 20c lipo also.. should i use that..
or need to go for 2s?

arun.sreelakam

you are right vineet, crash in the first flight will make disappoinment to all bgners.. now will wait until everything gets fine and then only going to fly..
will post pics and information after the changes.. :)
what about the battery dude as hangingtough suggested? :headscratch:

I think SIZE. if u have 3s in smaller capacity u can go for that also(to reduce the ALW of ur plane . other wise your 2200 , will also be fine enough.

hangingtough

No the weight of 2200 is about 70g more than a 1000, at entry level it makes a huge difference

Setup is already very typical.
High kv motor .

So He should be careful in selecting the other items

arun.sreelakam

no dude i am gonna change the motor to a 1200kv one with a 9x5 prop..
also if needed having a 900mah 3s also... so it wil be fine i think.. i can sacrifise in the flying time for my first flights... after that will go for 2200 mah...
fine?     :)

Where is your battery located? If it is not right on the cg, you must move the lighter battery close to the nose to maintain the cg at 33% of the chord from the leading edge of the wings. CG is the single most crucial thing to look out for. Also make sure that you battery can handle the motor. Your 2200kv motor will kill the 900mAh battery at full throttle :P
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

arun.sreelakam

battery is under the wings bottom side... also i am going to change the motor to 1200kv emax... as juggested above.. and 900mah for first time and later will try to move on to 2200mah...
8-)
is it oky? :headscratch:

Also make sure there is absolutely no vibration in motor or in prop,

just try to run the motor with prop and check before take off

all the best  {:)}

arun.sreelakam

hai prasant no vibration at all in full throttle with prop... but the motor is getting heated...
is it common with this series..?

And also make sure that the grub screws are enough tight for the e-max motor. I am also using the same motor E-Max CF 2822 for my spad model. For every flight i need to check the grub screws status, even though there is no vibration at all. But the motor power is really fantastic. I guess for your model weight you can even use 9x5 prop. It works fine. Because, for my model i am using 3s 2200 mah battery and same motor and 9x5 prop. It flies nicely and slowly.
