Tail part is ready. Since 2mm coro seems to be light I have doubled the thickness in tail part.

shivela39

And the new fuse. Aluminium tube of 1/4 inch.

shivela39

And the new wing. This time I have made stiff with 10mm rib inside.

shivela39

I dont know why attached pictures are rotated by 90deg :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:

cheluvaraj

Looks like it not supporting the vertical one. Application is rotating the image by 90' to maintain a format. just try and take horizontal ones for upload.

Anyway there has been a very good progress with trainer plane. well done.

Thanks arun &cheluvaraj

Arun, wing position starts from 5 inch from the front as per pdf.

Should I measure from motor mount or from prop.
Motor length is 2 inchs which I have not noticed.

I have already placed the pod at 5inchs from motor base.
Is that ok?

arun.sreelakam

Dont care about those 2" As the wings are movable we can move the wings later on to correct the CG...
As we are using coro the weights may vary respect to their foam... So continue your work.. CG can be adjusted later on and a glide test will make things more easier..

just a precaution it will be tail heavy... have scope of wing adjustment

2 sheets of coro on tail....!!!! ;)

arun.sreelakam

Never be a problem for this plan.. As the lipo is mounting in the front end we can adjust that by moving the lipo.. More over another option is there to change the wing position.. So No need to worry about the tail heavy part right now..

Thanks team,

Initially i just thought of doing this. But afraid of losing stiffness in the fuse.

May will try out after my successful flight.
any suggestions ?.....

arun.sreelakam

Why should you worry about the weight that much is it weighs too Much?  :headscratch:

Weight status......

Fuse with POD                        ---- 80   grms
Wing                                     ---- 250 grms
Tail(Not sure)                          ---- 50   grms
Electronics                             ---- 210 grms
(with 3s 800mah Battery)
_________________________________________
Total                                    ---- 570 grms

arun.sreelakam

My setup was with 3s 2200mah...  >:D
So dont worry about the weight that much.. making holes will be good to reduce weight but a crash may bend or broke the fuse faster.. :)

Thanks team,

Will continue the setup as it is.
Planing to complete the servo and motor mount today.

shivela39

Air frame almost ready.

Weight including electronics comes to 660gms :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:

Arun
It that good? I think it is about 150gms high...

arun.sreelakam

hey looks good.. weight is okay.. its 2200 mah right?
any way looking for the maiden soon... :)  {:)} {:)}

shivela39

No it is 800mah battery. That is my main worry.
2200mah will add 100gms more.....

I believe i took more care on tail part which caused 100gms more...and my new wing built another 100gms..

arun.sreelakam

No prob.. 660gms is okay we just want to correct the CG before maiden..  Install the electronics in the front end.. Which will make the cg come good..

Sorry Arun,

every thing kept ready.
Got heavily struck up with work..

Only Electronics to be installed... Trying to get some free time this week to complete.

Hi,

Planning to build same, very nicely done. by both of you.. but really confused about wing tip dihedral angle.. is it attached seperately or bent from original wing design.. Please help//

:help:

Thanks
Shin

arun.sreelakam

It is bent from orginal wing see the attached pdf..
its easily understood from that..

Thanks Arun... Yes got pdf plan from link you mentioned  :salute:

I finally got Coro sheets.. got 2 of them, but had to cut them in half and mentioned forum member so I have 4 sheets of 3x4 so as per plans mentioned I can make 2 incase of any mistakes.

sorry but one more question.. which direction is coro flutes facing for wings   :headscratch:

Thanks
Shin
