Did the maiden this afternoon in an indoor basketball court in front of the elementary school kids and their parents. Needless to say, the kids were happy to see it buzzing around. For an Iron suit and short stubby wings, this little flyer (17" long, 13" WS) is quite stable.
Brill
Cool! Video please!
I see a body and Tx, how does it fly and power up?
On each side of its chest are two motors for thrust differential to steer. He has a slight tail heavy feel. There are no elevators. To gain altitude increase throttle. To turn, one of the motors spin lower RPMs. A charge cord comes out of the charger to the 1S lipo built inside the "fuselage."
He claims himself to be an Iron Man but his fuselage is not that stiff, just soft foam.
Here's a quick video of how "he" flies, although planes are usually refered to as "she".

{:)} {:)} {:)} Love the Head UP aspect in a head wind - very Iron Manesque.............
Well done Lance!
Wow, he flies better than I expected! How much did he cost?
He costs Rs 2400 RTF.
PROS: It's ready out of the box
CONS: the lipo is built inside and takes 30 min to charge. One flight of 5 minutes then have to wait to charge. Can only fly in calm or very very light wind.
costly stuff, looks DIY, Lance is it possible to convert it to DWF file ? or is it available somewhere on the net
Like the Air Hogs years ago, it's just a toy plane in all the major department stores. I'm also embarassed to be playing with it! It's really meant for 10 year olds kids.

I saw in RCGroups that these go on sale for Rs 1500.
Rs 2400 for a toy plane w/ charger/TX/ RTF and all seems reasonable.
If you want to make your own flying guy... including a Sperman, (sorry typo) a Superman.
