Friends..Colleagues..here i am sharing my new craft..is the SlowSprint...Slow..Sprint..? ..yes..you can fly her at walking speed..or can pump her as a rocket..i am thanking to two of the ever experienced persons, in to Aero modeling, veterans of kerala..Mr Vinod, and Aeronautical Engineer Mr Nikhin..for some guidance and test and routine flights, as i cant walk..actually, i got some extra balsa sheets of 3 and 4 mm, after the completion of a competition..so i decided to go with..
at first she was powered by a 1000 Rpm /Volt motor, but later replaced with even more powerful motor with high rated battery..so she doing well...

Roopesh sir,
please elaborate the wing building techniques you used for this wing. Did you hot wire the wing or simply sanded down a slab of thermocol to shape? And also what kind of thermocol did you use, dense grain thermocol like fish box type or the simple one available at the stationary stores?

Am building a high wing trainer too(modelled after cessna 182) and this hot wiring part is getting on me, so your help is appreciated:)
cheers

Friends..actually, it wasnt on any scale, and my intention was to fix this wing on a craft, with an IC engine, from OS, LA 46. the wing is made out of ordinary thermocol, and the shape was achieved by sanding. a simple template was used to retain the basic shape, throughout. my idea was to make a slowest flyer ever. so i turned to a high camber wing, broad, with a round edge. doing very well. i will post all building tips here as now i am working with a new simpler pusher plane.can crash deliberately, as her's nose is finished with a mechanism, that absorbs the shock of a direct hit. so no worry of crash..beginners...and my respected Friends..my experience showing that we do not need any criteria to make a good forgiving flyer..i tested with various motors, including brushed RS 370 and 380, with EP 400..working well..but with a 400 RPM /Volts motor she behaves like a rocket...and stable..on my next craft i will add two winglets that make the craft even more stable..have some good crafts..

i will post a new building log for you all, and i hope many of us will make some new crafts..within an expense of Rs 200/-!!!...but flight..stable..forgiving..easy...even a beginner can go...

Mr.Roopesh
so you have decided to come out of hibernation. I am still looking for the Brushed ESC which you said you would post in your last post but you have not yet posted the ckt and component details. Also waiting for the ckt and building pictures of the ESC which requires no soldering as per you. Would you do that now.
