Decided to build a Cub for leisure flying, and also to take out in the early mornings for practice (higher chance of girls seeing me ;D )
Decided to settle on the J3 Piper cub design, found random measurements on the net.
My power pack is
1000Kv D2830 motor (10x4.7 prop)
2200 mah 3 cell lipo
30 Amp esc
Sanwa RDS transmitter and reciever, find pics below
Now i put together the Fuse
Started with my Wing, made Aerofoils with styrofoam and a DIY hot wire cutter, sanded them down and attached styrofoam rods, usually i fold the wing over so that the flut is parallel with the entire wing, but decided to make it perpendicular this time.
Folded the wing over, came out okay, decided to use a random balsa sheet i had lying around to make the ailerons.
finally finished it up, this are just pics of the Insides and final touches, was to first maiden it before the paintjob, I was alone so as soon as i threw it and applied full throttle, it went straight into a tree. (lesson no 1230, do not launch under a tree), well after i get it ready for the air again i will post a video.
dont crash it other wise there is higher chance of being laughed at(mostly girls).no offence

Lesson no 1231
You can launch under a tree, as long as you point it away from the tree ;D
Best wishes for second test flight.
Rajesh, Well I try to keep the tests top secret, hence the tree problem came into play, once i am an expert with the plane and can pull a few tricks, then i do a SRK and walk around with it like a macho man. :-D
K K, I know it is hard to believe, but this tree just came out of nowhere, Must be the fertilizer they give plants nowadays.
Looking good Namibian. Waiting for the maiden
You shall not have to wait long, as soon as i figure out a way to make my motors usable again, i will be up in the air.
Looks great, and good luck with the 'maidens' ;)
