Post by: subhashjk0508 on January 20, 2015, 01:30:10 PM

@subhashjk0508,
108", 1800gms?
One of these should do the trick!

thanks sir, but i dont want to fit the motor or the engine in the nose which needs taking the nose appart!! i was wondering if a 90mm or a 120m high-performance edf would be able to power it up for takeoff and some normal flight!!

edit:- not trying for thermal!!

regards,
JK

You may have seen this.
But an 1800gm Salto may not exactly be a floater...

In July 2013, i got carried away by the looks, and got a Pilatus B4 from RCB.
What i wanted was a relaxing glider.
What i bought was an aerobatic tiger.
If you pull out of a loop near the pits, you can hear a whistle from the wing tips, as she's probably going over 100kmph.
Very hard to land in limited space due to unbelievable flat glide, speed and lack of spoilers.

Get that Salto if you want an aerobatic glider, and launch with a hi start.
If you want a relaxing flight, get something like a Sunbird!
(Got one, will build in Feb)

The Salto probably needs to be flown like my Pilatus in this short clip.
(Now that i've got used to it, my fellow flyer Ahmed said 'if you want to fly like this, better fly your Curare Foamy than your Pilatus B4'!)
