A few knocks later and having gotten over the fear of crashing, thought it was time to give the old bird ( http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/pusher-trainer-for-beginners-bgnr/no) some rest.

Here's my new KF 2 airfoil pusher glider. Specs are similar to the earlier trainer, the chord is 7in instead of 8. No change in the gear whatsoever. BUT this one weighs 485g (165 g less than its predecessor). The wing uses 2 nos of 3mm CF rods - one at the LE and the other at 1/3 from LE.

The maiden flight was flat and steady requiring only the minor trim adjustments. On cutting off the motor, it is sheer joy to see it glide with a whooosh and effortlessly climb on giving throttle again. The sleek build helps penetrate well and uses the motor only to gain height and then thermal/glide down.

Here are a few pics.....

thanks, foamybuilder, since its a pusher, it is less prone to damages while on the field......may be you should try one yourself for hazzle free flying :)

Very nice build.........
Yes, you are right FOAMYBUILBER, he just comes & flies all the time he is on the field, but we spend more time on repairing our damages caused by small crashes.
Great build "bmblb"
Even i am planning to build a pusher model now.
