hi,
Recently got my hands on 2mm imported ply and decided to get it laser cut. the designs are my proven coro models.
which i earlier used to make with 2mm foamboard which was not strong enough.
the new ply coro composite will be very robust and easy to manufacture incase of qty order.
below are pics of the development. 3 versions will be made.
1. High wing trainer
2. low wing sport model
3. pusher trainer.
once finalised the prices will be declared.
only problem is that 2mm coro which is available is in white color. i am not getting in different colors.
hence solution will be use of color tapes, decorative stickers and spray cans. choice will be left to users to decorate.
pics below
suggestions welcome

What will the kit consist off? Ply, Corro, Landing gear, Hinges etc etc?
And as b4ggu asked, AUW and recommended power plants. Also, if corro is not structurally important, why not cover with monokote? What about the wing and tail feathers? What construction is proposed?
That is a good point Sanjay... I am into Depron and packaging tape frenzy at the moment.. It would be nice to cover it in 6mm Depron and 75micron (Not 45Micron from Hobby King) packaging tape from Flying Wings..;

Welldone, Sandeep.
Please put up pic of a complete sample kit.
Perhaps also including the coro/depron parts.
hi.
after all my ideas put together and trying to develop models which are easy to make, economical and low cost.
I decided to use 2mm ply wit 2mm coro covering. this sandwich method will make model easy to assemble and no hassles of covering or decorating. use of color tapes or spray can will give fantastic result.
not thinking of monokote or depron covering. coz monokote requires skills and depron is very fragile.
wanted to keep things simple for both the newcomers and myself. main objective is to provide low cost model.
laser cutting simplifies my job and entire fuse is ready in 5mins. Coro is very easy to work around and wrapping it takes mins.
planning to send wings pre built in 2piece just put the dihedral brace and join the wings.
rest all parts will be provided I.e landing gear wires, wheels. except for electronics.
will post more pics as each model comes alive.
Well Done Mr. Sandeep {:)} {:)} {:)}
Great work Sandeep ji.
Its a great help and motivation for beginners to obtain an budget and strong model :hatsoff:
Good Job Sandeep
Are you planning a pod with some interchangeable wings too ?
hi,
thnx all. the designs are simple. to make it easy for beginners to assemble and also make production easy. this is the only method best I can think off.
the pusher does not require pod, a 2000kv motor wit circular flange Mount fits perfectly. the wings are 2 piece for packing purpose. users can keep that way or fix permanently.

hi,
as requested, first model from the trainer series is ready for delivery.
next will be the pusher and then the low winger which also are getting ready.
pics below of completed high wing trainer. the lasercut ply makes assembly very easy and wrapping of coro takes a few minutes.
in short model is ready in very short time. More development in process to make it more easy. also looks very professional.
pics below. hope all of u like it.
1st pic is of the interior of the model where the wing will fit. you can clearly see the servo tray.
2nd is the motor mounting plate
3rd is complete model.
4th pic is after adding some color tapes.
