Looking for a Motor prop combo that suits the plane , will be running 3S or 4S LiPo .

I use a NTM 3548 - 800 KV with 3S and 14*7 prop on my Tucan (about 1.8 Kg) I don't think it would be adequate. Since it is a scale model I would suggest go with a larger motor, 45** or 50** with about 400 KV, 4S LiPo and a suitable prop. Better battery time too

Thanks, Iyer sir and Sanjay sir..

The Expected AUW as in Maxford website, is 2.5Kg. Also the suggested motor is Uranus 35425 1100Kv.
I am newb when it is planes !
So for this AUW (2.5Kg), How much thrust the motor should provide ?

I am looking for exact scale like performance (Not in to sports flying)

2.1kg
It says so on Maxford's site  ;D
You'll recall that i have long been propagating the idea that 1:1 thrust to weight is NOT required...

So whats the Final verdict ?  :headscratch:

Haven't properly flown a Plane yet. thus I don't have any clue, what the performance will be for different thrust to weight ratio  :(

Please Guide me. (Wont mind a little theoretic explanation  ;D)
