Guys, I have just landed myself in a mess. I had planned to build a plane ( any kind :) )but I had purchased that prop (11*7 or 10*5....sorry my parts are with my friend) and the motor( C2830 /12 1000kv ). But now I'm finding it difficult to set the dimensions of my plane ....right now I'm looking at sky_surfer lookalike model....Please help me.... This is my second UAV...(1. 250 quad)...So by now you must already know I'm a beginner...I wanted to know if I had made a mistske by doing so or am I looking at a cloud with the silver lining?
Many a thanks in advance .
This is no mess..... this is the most common mistake we come across in this hobby.
The prop and motor combo what you have is good for a tractor plane ( prop in front) for a pusher you need a smaller prop and a high Kv motor.
if the prop is 10x5 then ok.
You have 2 options now...
a. sell off this motor and prop on this forum and buy a new motor & prop
b. If the prop is 10x5 then go ahead & plan to build a tractor plane ( a trainer) by using coro material, keep AUW around 800 Grms or less.
hope this brings you out of mess.
@rastsaurabh
I am going for the second option .
TY!
Or you can make a twin boom plane and make the gap around11 inch.
