still need time to decide on rx.......more reading to be done. sahilkit im not actually looking at micro like this one i built http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/f1d-type-electronic-indoor-slowflyer-'the-balsa-snail'/msg161060/#msg161060

im looking for some thing more foamie and small so you can call it micro park flyer you can say something like the champ http://www.horizonhobby.com/ready-to-fly/champ-rtf-hbz4900

i forgot to mention i have this tx 2.4GHz Transmitter DSM2 also http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProductDisplay?product_identifier_token=product&urlRequestType=Base&catalogId=10051&categoryId=&productId=589573&urlLangId=-1&langId=-1&top_category=&parent_category_rn=&storeId=10151

but not keen on using it so looking for a rx for my futaba t6ex

thanks sahil,
i have decided to make my plane and then make a decision on electronics as per the weight of the airframe cause its difficult for me to judge weight right now ,so will be planning an airplane then go for electro,so next i will be deciding on building material depron,balsa,.....let seee will keep you posted,do let me know if any one selling http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22691__frsky_tfr6m_2_4ghz_6ch_micro_receiver_fasst_compatible.html

TO ALL new to micro rc and especially wanting to use coil actuators.

Notes:

1. Standard micro receivers will not accept coil actuators directly one needs a driver in between like an rc micro actuator driver.

thank you sahil that really helped

i have made a drawing below as to how i think the connections for the actuator drives work, if im not correct please make the changes when every time permits yoy to ,i think it would help someone else in future too, escecially those who dont know much about micro and electronic stuff like me  :banghead: :banghead:

sahilkit

roman what you have shown is correct.

ok understood the basic  connections part now {:)} {:)} thanks sahil, next from  were do i get the drives  :banghead: :banghead:  like you mentioned 2 drives ,one for each actuator which mean 2chn on the rx .anyone knows from were we can buy these drives in india or some reasonable sources abroad . if yes suggestion welcome  ;)

Do they ship to india, cant find drive,is it also called Electromagnetic servo driver Parameters like in the link below http://www.bidproduct.com/more/cartview.php?id=8271

these drives are driving me mad  :headscratch: :headscratch: :banghead: :banghead::help: :help: research still going on sahil digging for information, should have done a course in electronics would have made things easy  :banghead: now its too late :banghead:

That's a very good receiver if you are aiming micro with Futaba Tx. I have four of those receivers.

After removing the paper covering Its just around 2 gram. You can use 1.7 gms linear servos.

sundaram sir,
or
sahilkit

need your guidance...with this RX you used...have some questions for you also please help :help:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22691__frsky_tfr6m_2_4ghz_6ch_micro_receiver_fasst_compatible.html

what micro set up (prop,motor,esc....) did you use for this rx ??????
is it 1s compatible?????
is this the plug which connects to chn3/throt/  and the loose ends to the esc  :headscratch:  http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9766__JR_Servo_Lead_Male_30CM_10pcs_set_.html

so basicly if using a esc like in the pic below ,then we need to cut the  1mm JST plug wire (in the pic)of the receiver connection in the center  and join a futaba wire like this to esc .... http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9766__JR_Servo_Lead_Male_30CM_10pcs_set_.html
or can we remove the 1mm JST plug wire from the esc and  solder this wire direct to the esc,is  this correct ???

sundaram sir, i guess you busy....but this is  just a reminder about information on actuator drives.waiting patiently...thank you sir

Quoteis it 1s compatible?Huh??

I'm not sure myself as the spec state 3.5~10V operating voltage.

what you said is one option or just buy these (compatible with ESC in picture you attached)

1. HobbyKing_XP_3A_1S_0_7g_Brushless_Speed_Controller = Cutoff Threshold 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.1V, default is 2.8V.
2. SuperMicro_Systems_Brushless_ESC_3_0A = Operating Voltage: 3.3-4.2v
3. 5A_1S_Brushless_Controller = Cutoff unknown
4. TGY_DP_3A_1S_1g_Brushless_Speed_Controller = Cutoff - Disable, 2.9V, 3.0V, 3.1V, 3.2V, 3.3V

Those receivers are best used with 2S with an ESC with BEC. Though it will function with 1S, will have brown out issue near empty 1S lipo.

Each receiver comes with its own set of five micro connector plugs and pins with which you can crimp you own servo connectors.

Before I post complete detail with photos, circuits and DIY on how to let me just say that you can use a simple old gear damaged servo circuit with little mod to function as actuator drives easily. It will not be very proportional like the actual one but it just functions ok.

you can even use them as motor drivers with little mod. Better still as reversible motor drives.

Quotedamaged servo circuit with little mod to function as actuator drives easily

I was actually thinking of doing that (close the loop with hall-effect sensor).  :)

Just replace the potentiometer with same value 50:50 resistance bridge with 1/8 ceramic resistance which will simulate pot in center position. Now you can drive an actuator through motor connection. Even drive a motor in reversible mode.  Similarly if you shunt center tap to one side and replace with same value single resistance  on outer pins Then it will function as unidirectional motor drive. It's not very proportional like a ESC but I would say it at least has three steps of increment.

thanks for the info sundaram sir and sahilkit
so its better to use this rx http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22691__frsky_tfr6m_2_4ghz_6ch_micro_receiver_fasst_compatible.html with a 2s  which means weight issue. any futaba FASST  compatible rx for t6ex which uses 1s?

sahilkit

Quoteany futaba FASST  compatible rx for t6ex which uses 1s?

i searched all over hobbyking but not a single 1S futaba FASST compatible Rx. Other member can be of help.

i think it was a mistake i made when i got in the hobby i went for futaba instead of spektrum  any one selling  the orange TX http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__54822__OrangeRx_T_SIX_2_4GHz_DSM2_Compatible_6CH_Transmitter_w_10_Model_Memory_and_3_Pos_Switch_Mode_2_.html do let me know

sundaram

If you are looking at micro under 20 gms then definitely yes you did. You should have gone in for DSM2.
