Was a bit bored and wondering what to build did not have foam as well happened to see this http://www.gryffinaero.com/models/ffpages/rce/phoenix/ but was was to small,i had a small piece of balsa sheet2mm around i think 5inchx 18inches in size and some scrap pieces :giggle: so said let give it a go and build a 12incher,using the gear from my balsa tortoise http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/micro-slow-flyer-the-balsa-tortise/
Wing- 12inch detachable
covering- laminate used on top of brown school book covers crumpled and used here
balsa- mentioned above
Plan- in the link above. (mine was made large to 12inch by my own imagination)
Electronic- mini vapor horizon hobby(use google for specs)
auw-12grams
batt-60mah im finding under powered may need a 70mah
Have very few pics while building
Some build pics

Hi Roman, nice build. Is it better if you use thin plastic sheets used as food wrap instead?

well u can use cling wrap / food wrap but i find this easier to work with ....the mini vapor of horizon hobby the covering is nearly the same like this...
Dint get a chance to sort this baby out hope fully shes in one piece when i reach india so i could get her 2 fly...
The right name of theses is F1D i think :)
They keep the weight(auw) around 3.something(minimum)+. And use rubbed band to give it power to run free flight for over an hour
Truly awesome master piece Roman Sir.......
You must do a DIY video of it and the material used....(Although ive seen most of your videos on youtube I would still ask for diy of F1D (Electric one))
thanks sukpreet........yes....i will try n do a DIY video build but not realy sure wich one it would be....but yes i will try....
GOOD plane sir!
Great Sir, Ill be waiting.
1-DIY,
2-Electronics used,
3-Implementing electronics video.
:D Yessss .....! I am being greedy :P
And now you can buy V911 from RCHYPER

Not sure if ill build micro thou......but lets seee...in september..
Worked on the bipe after 9months was all dusty and damaged in places added glue so its a bit heavy now and underpowered i feel . Managed to get a 70mah 1s and got it flyin.excuse the video no one to hold the camera early morning m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=CrHOygx9Ah0 https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=CrHOygx9Ah0
Utterly charming!
Roman, nice model and flight.
60 mah & 70mah battery will not impact the power.
since both battery are 1s 70mah batt. will not add thrust.
for more power you may need to change the prop / motor.

Not into free flights....dont mind trying if i can find the rubber and mylar in india....my suggestion to you is make the hangar rat......google
Would like to share some info on the covering....had many question about it.. the material i use to cover is easily found......the brown school book covers have a laminateed plastic on them thats what i use.....u may have troublpeeling the plastic from the brown paper its because of the glue used ..so i tried putin it in water and then boiling it it then seem to peel out easy.....i then removed it from the water peeled of the brown paper wich came of very easily and used the plastic...I have also used vegetable bags the transparent ones in bazzar they worked tooo http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/f1d-type-electronic-indoor
Adhesice use to cover is fevicol SR 998.....this is very very tacky sticks to finger and is difficult to remove.....i mix equal quantily of fevicol and acetone and then apply on the balsa u can use it on carbon rods too.....its a real pain actually :giggle:working with it Bang Head
found a video i had taken but dint upload
