Wow ! The last picture does provide a good "scale" for the size of the model.

BTW, I forgot the name of your friend who is holding the model.

Hi Santosh,

{:)} now that's an awesome bird  :salute:..I just can't wait for the video and I can actually feel the flight at just looking at the pics..

I bet this is going to be a very fast flight, I guess you should check the wind and take necessary precautions..Am sure you will

Very nice of you to share the pics Santosh..

Santosh did you maiden the bird ? How was the flight ? Any videos for us ?  :salute:

QuoteI bet this is going to be a very fast flight,

Looks like a "thermal" glider/sailplane to me. Not expected to be very fast, therefore.

It is a known characteristic of this model, per the US forums.  Most people use brakes for landing.

I guess the size of the model prompts it gain speed on the way down (unless you get generous support from flying against moderate to high winds).

Air brakes are needed on thermal soarers to prevent them from being "carried away" in a severe thermal where the lift can be very high. They are also used to slow the airplane for landing, if necessary.

However the above does not detract from the possibility of it being a - relatively - fast glider. I have a friend who has a JET powered glider that is simply awesome in its speed and aerobatic capability!

Hi Sushil,

How are you man ? The reason I said it would be a fast flight is for the obvious reason the over all body of the cularis. The body is completely aerodynamic and with the help of some wind it can zoom pretty fast..

can we see some pics of your friends jet powered glider if we may please..would be great as I have a lot of interest in sail planes..

* Santosh flight report and videos pls.. ;D

Will do Atul. When he next brings the plane out.
