I loved the way the Easy Glider Pro flew  but  it had a Problem from the FPV Point of View it had a front Mounted Prop  which was causing disturbances in the camera  hence had 2 options

1) Convert to twin Motor
2) convert to pusher .
Decided to go for the later  after it had a horrific crash from around 60 ft directly into the ground  nose first at full throttle . The Best part of MPX is you can build the plane back even after such crashes .

SPECS:    Wingspan: 71" (180.3cm)
         Length: 43.7" (112.3cm)
Flying Weight: 28.5oz (810g) with standard power system

Took two aluminum angles and drove them into the fuse just behind the wing  at an angle  such that the thrust line of the motor would be 1/2" to 1" above the CG point of the glider ( this is very critical ).

Since I  have sufficient nose weight by way of FPV/UAV  equipment the extra weight behind the CG  should be OK.

Here are some photo's   .

She glides beautifully  with a RCFORALL 2217/1500 KV Motor .
Also posting the  original's photo from the web  so as to better understand this conversion.

Today the EZG  went out of its way literally .

The past 2 weekends the EZG  has been  pushing the  distance envelope but  always within  visual range .
We had been fine tuning the  AV equipment to push beyond visual range .

The input Video transmission  is fed into Saju's digital Photo frame  from which I tried an AV Input into my laptop  through  the easy Cap  but due to a clash between systems it does not  seem to function  as the output is in NTSC .Could  not  get a Video due to non performance of this recording option   .
I forgot to take a simple AV RCA cable  hence could not connect the out put from my patch antenna  splitter  to the laptop  :banghead: :banghead:

But  apart from the  recording bit the  FPV flight was amazing and the EZG  pushed beyond the 350-400 m visual  range .
We flew to :
Max Distance from home : 834 meters
Max altitude : 401 meters

These were recorded by  the REMZIBI OSD .

Lessons for the day :
1) Distance  of 500 mtrs is really far by RC standards   and I don't think   any  one flying  any RC plane  how ever  large exceeds  200 - 300 mtrs  as beyond that even a 2 mtr glider  was  a dot so you really did not know if it was going or coming.

2)  The lack of sound can be quite scary  for the onlooker as you know you got an RC Plane out there somewhere but really don't know where it is only the pilot  who can see thru it  is aware of its location   :o 8-)

3)  Having a binocular with  some one tracking the plane helps  as  in the event of a loss of signal  the person with the Binocs can atleast guide the pilot back using landmarks ( we did not loose transmission at any time but helps as a precaution ).

4) Transmission   of  video  is clearer  at  higher altitude .

On the whole a great day of FPV flying .

PS got a snap shot from my  mobile camera of the OSD showing the max distance  from home and max altitude  though  the altitude is not very visible  sorry for the crappy photo but this is the best I could get of this flight . These  readings are based on GPS

Mr Sai,

What is the cost and source of REMZIBI OSD Unit?

What is the video signal transmitter you are using, frequency band, and wattage of transmission please?

Does REMZIBI Allow integration with additional units for auto stabilization and RTH features for waypoint navigations?

I bought my Remzibi OSD from Remzibi himself .
It has been used with the ardu pilot if you mean  auto pilot .

It is good but I would be looking at  using Eagle tree or a similar brand as well  soon .
As the Remzibi OSD is more of a DIY kind  made by Remzibi himself  hence integrating it with other  equipment would require some effort , but I must add Remzibi is himself very helpful in providing support .  Please go thur the thread linked above and you will know what I mean .

Another FPV flyer in Chennai use the Eagle tree  equipment  and I  must say I am impressed with it  both in terms of performance  as well as the fact that they come in modules hence has a good scope for  feature enhancement by plugging in  various modules  .

I use the lawmate 1 watt 2.4 G  Video Tx ,
Lawmate : 2.4 G receiver with  a 10 dbi patch antenna.
I use a fatshark CMOS camera with a 2.8 mm wide angle lens .

BTW I have these available  with me as well.
