A 6X4 on a 1200kv motor?
Agree with Rohit. These Jets need high KV motor and smaller props (6x4 is perfect). 1200 KV would need you to put at least a 8x6 or even 9x4 prop.
Better get a 1800-2300 KV motor, best would be the hard to get 2200KV one. a 2200KV on 6x4 prop is one of the most trusted combo for jets likes these. (May be the trend set by Little Screamers)

7x5 would again be smaller and wont give optimal thrust. Try with the 9x47, but do put a Watt meter if you can. Else put the motor on static test and monitor the Motor and ESC temperature after 5-10 seconds. If you cannot touch the surface, 9x47 is big for your setup.

Tomhe Design does not accept Prop dia more than 6x4 as there is no space for cutting slot for prop more than 6 inches. if you cut slot for prop more than 6x4 it will severely compromise the structural strength and original design, resulting in breaking off of the tail portion.

You have to go in for a motor more than 2000KV to spin smaller props to have the desired thrust.

now i will have to look for a 2200 kv motor  :banghead: :banghead:
