Hi! guys..........
I've just started to build a 42" trainer with styrofoam (called as biofoam).
for the wing part & airfoil 3mm sheet is considered.
spar is made from 4mm light plywood. the wingtip airfoil is cut from 8mm sheet. rubbed all the airfoils with sandpaper.
this is one side wing. some pics.....
right now i'm working with fuselage.coming with some more pics.
pls post ur comments and suggestion........................
Thanks
Avishek
you gonna use a engine or make an EP
waiting for some more photos, kindly post them ..

Hi! guys..........

Styro foam is quite different from what you have used - Biaofoam. Biofoam is close to what is more popularly called 'Depron' (a DuPont trademark).
Nice build. Do share the plan and maiden video.
pretty neat built!!!! lots of efforts!!!!
waiting for it to complete and a video!!!
whats the auw?

You would get to know many other jargons..
Thanks guys....
I have little bit of experience on foam sheets. actually searching for a long time i found this foam sheet in Pune. Some people call it as biofoam and some as styrofoam. But it's somewhat different from styrofoam as Ujjwaana sir has described.Thank you Ujjwaana sir.
Avishek.
I made a standard airfoil chart for the basic RC models. This 42" trainer is an electric model.
At this moment i'm in such a tough condition due to my college schedule.
Fuse is just completed.
Sure, i w'll post the plan and complete model pics.
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
Avishek.
Good Effort Avishek.
Can't wait to see more pics of complete wing and fuselage...
Good luck for the maiden!!!
:salute:
Thanks guys.
Wing and fuse is completed. Covered with LG-Huasys Red sheet.
some pics of fuse.....
I have already made 5 models. These are 42" 48" and 55" trainers.
Hay guys! We are planning to start production of this model! Suggest us how it would be if we consider this model in production...
coming with some more pics and videos.
Thanks!
What foam thickness have you used for the fuselage and tail surfaces??
for fuse i used 8mm and sometimes 10mm
for tail surfaces 5mm would be better.
Nice built. Looks grate.
Cover completely with color or transparent tape so that strength will increase as well as dust deposition will be less and cleaning will be easier. Otherwise, dust deposits inside the mcro pockets of the foams.
Thanks
