Built a Corrextra funfly version. Was looking for a model to practice aerobatic/3d stuff. When I got stuck with my eEdge build, decided to give it a go at igenious's Corrextra. So far so good except the tail flex during high torque maneuvers.

Spar: tripple 4mm coro
Motor: TR 3542 1450kv, Esc: TR 60A plush, Bat: 2.2 3s 20c Prop: 10x3.8, Servos: TR mini size.
Crashed it once breaking a prop and a little bit of damage to the trailing edge joining the fuze. Was an easy fix with some epoxy and a new prop.
The changes I have made other than the spar are the motor mount. I just used the same method usually used in building foamies. Now to reduce tail waggling, what I did is to use plenty of skewers to the fuze, skewer support for the tail section ( the X part). I used lite ply, 4mm coro crisscrossed plus skewers crisscrossed through them for motor mount support. Used skewers as support from fuse to the spar for additional strengthening.
All I could find was some 4mm soft steel wires for the LG. Initially it was bending on each landing. After adding another piece for support its perfect and it even bounces! And by the way, pics were taken after the crash,Spads rule :)
The fuse is single 4mm sheet ?

The fuze is single 4mm with skewers inside plus a X section for additional support. The video is not much yet except for some attempts for hovering. I need to stiffen the tail a bit more cause when tried to knife, it flexed a bit. One mistake I figured out after this is the way I attached the rudder. I used tape like in foamies...which I guess was not strong enough for such moves. Will reinforce with some thing else and try.
Built is nicely proportionate. neat colour scheme too. :thumbsup:
add a little (-70 on futaba) expo to your Rudder, look at the entire fuse like a stick and hover, do you remember balancing a stick on your finger tips, hover is like that..

Thanks Gusty sab, am able to maintain a hover to a certain extend and thanks to your kind comment about expo on Rudder (never tried that!, I use DR/Expo on ELE/AIL only. Will try that out :) ).
Now, with this bird the knife-edge was a problem :( The tail wheel is connected directly to the rudder with out any support (usually I use at least a piece of ply). So after a couple of landings, the tape hinge is getting loose and that caused some play at that end of the rudder hinge. I guess while trying to knife, this is causing some trouble :( I saw the tail section twist a bit while trying to knife... couldnt understand whether its from the tail flex or from the rudder play. Will try to fix both and try this weekend :)
in fact prop wash is enough to steer, remove the tail wheel from the rudder and fix it on the fuse, not only the hinge it will affect the flight characteristics overtime.
