After spending a long time reading about R.C and SPAD planes, I made one. Posting the pics.. pls give me your valuable remarks. I thank Mohan sir (Mjet) who guided me

more pics..I used coro glued with depron for fuselage formers. Thermocole airfoil templates were used as wing ribs. groove was cut on each template so that spar stays in place. spar is a doubled 3 mm coro along the wingspan..

some more snaps.. wing span is 48'' and fuse is 34'' long.

Looking good Manu. Keep the tail light ;)

Nice one Manu sir
thanks, by seeing your pics I understood how to build the wing in coro or depron or anything like that. thanks a lot.

That is terrific . Neat planes fly great. What glue are using for coro and how are you preparing the surface for glue to stick well?

manu

Thankyou everyone.. used a sand paper to sand coro and glued the wing with araldite.. used hot glue for fuse and tail work.. Wing lacks a dihedral.. Don't know what will happen when I fly it..

Sanjay sir, thankyou for your advice.. The plane is a little tail heavy. Hope it will balance when electronics are installed

Haven't seen any pics with the motor installed. What about Landing Gear? Will you be using this?

First time spadders often land up with tail heavy models. Get the CG right - about 1/3rd of the span from the leading edge. You can move the battery around to get it right; but do not fly with a tail heavy model

manu

Sir, I will upload the pics after installing the elctronics and will definitely use a landing gear.. Thankyou.

good going Manu  :hatsoff:  Make sure wing is lighter then you will get stable flight.
