Title: my RC BIT COOTIE
Post by: shivela39 on February 21, 2013, 04:46:06 PM
Sometime back I have tried RC COOTIE.
Thought would share it here.

Wing made from shopping bag and cf.
49mhz tx from my old flying truck.
Tail actuator self-made with coil wound on a big straw and a small round magnet.

Plan available in the below link.

And the video.

Hey shivela... For actuators how can we keep the magnet in the center while it is not operating.. mine moving in to both sides freely.. want to keep in the center... which causes my plane to turn massively while launching.. :(

The actuator gets into center when plane moves because of equal wind force in both sides.

Actually I also faced the same problem first time.
Then made the actuator arm to move freely by replacing with thin celo tape.
