Hello everyone,
I am looking for a free plan that I can use to build a very simple foam/coro stick plane/or conventional fuse plane with 3/4 channels that i can use to train new comers and students into building and flying. I would prefer a coro stick plane as that would be the easiest.
KFM airfoil to help give more stability and lower speeds would be great.
Looking for something to build over the weekend and get it up in the air with good flying characteristics and not having to reinvent the wheel
Thanks !
PS: Pardon me for starting a new topic for something which i am sure must have been repeated or could be found on the internet by searching. However a brief search did not lead me to any conclusive results hence posted this.
hello gaurav bhaiya I would suggest you to make the maker hangar or the tuffy as they are pusher and good beginner planes and also no chance of damage from students because the motor and prop are at the back
I personally like the maker hangar.
if you want a tractor you can make the blubaby or the j3 piper cub if you want the plans pm me with your email I will send you the plans for the cub. I will post the links after wards for the others you should use this motor turnigy xp 2286 2200kv with a 6x4 40amp esc around 800gms. which is perfect

Thanks everyone for looking and suggesting. I went ahead and built from scratch a coro plane with a CF stick. Flew absolutely great. Will post plan, details and pics so everyone can build one ! Cheap and easy i think this was what i wanted !
try this for sure it will fly and people will learn to fly http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=681556&highlight=blu+babi
dude where to get a maker hanger plane?
@rj varun BTW for whom you are using 'dude'? Everyone above are respectable and avid aeromodellers. Try using words like Sir or something of that sort instead of dude untill you know someone personally.
maker hanger plan, try searching it on google and rcgroups.
:hatsoff:
sir,my apologies for using the word "dude" in the forum.but in all my previous posts i have used "sir"... :salute:
i used the word "dude" for calling mr.nitish :)
I am not mr. nitesh I am only Nitesh who is a student.
so, do you mind if i call you dude?
Just leave this topic No use talking about it what happened has happened.
Super ! Did you notice i started this thread exactly one year ago , (Aug 29 2013)
This was when I was looking for an easy airplane/plan/kit to find and give to students/newcomers ...
I found nothing that met my requirements and hence was born the Vortex-RC and the VT-AllRounder !!!
What i was looking out for was :
- a super affordable airplane,
- that was professionally built,
- had all spares and parts available within India at affordable prices
- Was super easy to launch, fly and land
- Airfoiled wings, high lift, low wing loading
- In kit form so newcomers can actually build and learn from it.
- Included just about everything that was needed for a newcomer ( Didnt want to assume someone new to hobby to have servo extensions of cycle pushrods etc ) and avoid someone running around or waiting to collect stuff.
Proud to have come up with the VT-AllRounder (Trainer airplane at www.vortex-RC.com (//http://) ) that met all of the above. So my quest up there was solved by me only :)
Wow, one year and a long way we have come :) Thans guys !
Now by next year hope to have dozens of fliers, build , learn and start flying our birds and get into the wonderful hobby !
Hey Gaurav,
with all that "Dude" stuff going in this thread... mind if I suggest you to name you next model as "Sir Dude"..... just on the lighter note.... ha ha ha
sir,just left that topic.. :giggle:
Hey Nitesh,
Have you tried building Maker Hangar? Did you get all the parts?
I am about to start building Maker Hangar so it would be great if you can give a detailed feedback :)
Hello Krish,
I haven't built the maker hangar for multiple reasons. It's not a very efficient design, the wing loading is relatively high for a trainer and so on. I can suggest you other designs and more easy to build planes based on your requirements and the parts that you have.
Regards,
Nitesh.
The reason for which I chose Maker Hangar was I was well explained with stepwise procedure. If you can suggest any beginner level RC plane to work on, that would be great :)

Hey K K Iyer,
I need all the dimensions and plans for making that plane. It would be great if you can guide me through the aeromodeling of the plane :).
In Maker Hanger, weight can be reduced by using less tape and using 2 cell instead of 3 and also if the weight of the motor can be reduced.

I need all the dimensions and plans for making that plane.
Dimensions indicated by scale/ruler kept against each part in the photos.
Its so simple that I didn't ever bother to draw up a plan!

Thanks, I ll try that :)
Is there any replacement for styrofoam or any seller in Delhi?. I have tried a lot in many markets but couldn't find any vendor
