I won't point out a specific model and i'm not an expert but if I were in your shoes then I would go for any high winger 4ch RC plane.

Cessna Is a trainer model flys gud.... since u were flying 3 ch its surely an upgrade to 4 ch...... but the real question is a high wing or low wing....

Check out the model GEEBEE at hobbyking... Its a gud 3d model takes lots of beating... I have one... gud to learn 3d moves and stuff...

Not sure about the RC one, but GeeBees seem to be considered a pretty bad model in general.

What does this budget include? Airframe only, motor, ESC, etc. etc.?

i would strongly recomend the thunder tigre ABS ready 40. Costs 4500/-Available at RCfor all- Contact Model art for the local delhi dealer if you want to save on courier rates.
It is a real hardy model, takes a lot of punishment, good flyer. Much sturdier that balsa models.

Why not build a Simple Plastic Airplane Design ?

An scaled version in Electric? This is very durable for coro build. 4Channel and of course DIY.
Cost will be within your budget surely.

But Electric or nitro? Want to see expert's comment?
