Doc Nayeem: you've been making out with plenty of hot models yourself  ;)

sahilkit

so the new wing chord looks like a inverted simplex airfoil  :headscratch: wait you said the wing bottom part should be parallel to horizontal stab.
Today might be a great and wonderful day. It depends on you.

Sanjay sir, no words! Your building skills are unparalleled ! This one is a chic ! Love it!💖💕💘💘💘💘

Repeating the question posed in Reply #4 above:

So my question, dear reader, is do I try to keep the wing C/L parallel or leave the flat part parallel? Waiting to hear the views of experts and non-experts alike  Wink

Didn't respond, as with your experience you know what will happen in either case.

Instead I'll tell you what I did with my Sunbird, which, with a flat bottom airfoil, was loopy under power.

Since I didn't want to add nose weight, or reduce the decalage, I mixed 10% down elevator with throttle.
Works fine!

Thanks Sanjay Sir .... Inspired by you ... But the beauty, accuracy and speed of your builds are hard to match ..

Interesting. But I think I will first try as it is (likely to climb) and then add packing under TE if climbing is excessive. Let's see

I guess it's difficult to predict the exact change in behavior - the slightly semi-symmetrical wing will reduce lift compared to the flat-bottom, and the increased AoA should compensate??

That's probably the most likely scenario!

BTW, sir, every time you produce a new model, I get encouraged to shake off laziness and build a new one too. Must be having the same effect on many forum members.  :hatsoff:

:P i think either wing setups should work provided the angle to attack is adjusted.

Edit: Sanjay the smallest rc plane you built in coro?

This a message to sanjay sir: (really guilty)
To sir,
i gave up on spads after crashing the avi the 6Th time. ;D  ;D  ;D
Thank you.

P.S-I think my avispad ( air alaska N7572) has been petrified by the ghost of the spads.

@sanjayrai55 sir,

Thanks for the encouragement.

This is what I managed tonight.
If I do build it in the next two days, will post a separate build log.

Not bad for a sketch, eh? Even looks recognizable (I hope) ;D

sanjayrai55

Sahil, the smallest I've built is the QB 10, 39", and highly aerobatic: everyone's favourite on our field. In fact, I've built two of them  ;D. Uses the same power system as the Junior 100

sanjayrai55

Iyer sir: that model has no business on the drawing board! Put 'er in the air  >:D (:|~ (:|~

sanjayrai55

Prabal, these things are normal, and not anything to get worried about

I suggest you build another one; just stick to the plans, and make an extra effort to build it true and square
