Hi everyone,

I was able to get some time to design a plane on fusion. I am trying to fabricate the same using extruded poly styrene (XPS) , locally called insufoam, using a hotwire cutter and other tools

Technical details

airfoil : Clark y
Span : 1000mm
Chord : 166mm
Aspect ratio :1:6
Fuse : 625 mm
V tail
servo  4*9gms
Cubic wing loading : 6.65
Power plant : yet to be decided  (70-100 Watts 2210-2212, 1200-1400kv)
prop: 7045
Battery : 1500mah 3s
Stall speed : 6.6m/sec
Ps : named it after one my good friends 😅

Hot wire cutting and progress till now.

Need to buy a 6*4 mm cf hollow tube for the Spar and a motor to power the model. DYS d2822 1450 (overkill) is on my mind.

Last image is of a scaled down 1:10 3d Printed model

Should I go for the pultruded or the roll wrapped CF???

Some updates, almost complete, test flight remaining.

Ditched the idea of CF tube as it's pretty costly
Used beading wood instead. (20 rs 😅)
Power plant : dys 2822 1450kv , 3s

Congratulations. Well done. Looks like a good fast flier.

@manu,

You should look up posts of Free Flight, and Gilidiator, to know who these guys are and what they represent.

It'll we worthwhile.

Tried paying full justice to the design color scheme. I feel it was better before  ;D
